Last night was one of the funniest clubbing experiences ever!
It all started at home where I had nothing to do except be lazy and stare at my computer monitor. I got a call from curly around 4:30pm telling me that I should try and get into Avalon because they're lenient when it comes to checking ID's. So I thought to myself, it, why the hell not?! So I pick up my friend david at 6 and head off to to LA to embark on my risky adventure.
I got to the club around 8:30 and Curly was waiting there all by himself. There was no one in line. We thought that it was gonna be packed like a mutha, but we thought wrong. We wait around for a while for more people to come. More people start to show up including some TA's, and at 10, they finally opened doors.
At this point, I'm getting a little nervous. I start think of different ways that I could possibly sneak in. I see the Ice Man (the guy carried the ice into the club) and wonder if I should ask him if he needs help. Nah, that guy looks like a douche, so it's best if I don't. Curly, David, and I finally get in line, and I decide to put 25 bucks underneath my ID, so when the bouncer checks it, everyone will be happy and i'll be able to get in. That didn't work. When the bouncer took my ID, he saw that I was only 19, plus he felt the money underneath. He kinda freaked out. He said, "OH ! Uh, come back in a little bit, I have a camera staring at me right now." He tells me to wait outside the line, and he'll call me when he has a chance of letting me in. I wait an hour, but the bouncer never got back to me. him, time to try a new idea.
I watch the bouncer at the general admission line for a while. He doesn't really check the ID, he just looks at the age and waves the person by. I get to the back of the line, and I notice that there's a balcony at the club. I got the best ing idea ever. I call up Curly while he's inside the club, and tell him to throw his ID down from the balcony because the bouncer doesn't check the face of the person. He couldn't get to the balcony, so he went to the patio and we busted out some 007 . He slid his ID through a little crack near the wall and I grabbed his ID. I was so ing happy at this point, I was pretty much in!
I already had my guestlist ticket with me, so I showed it to the bouncer at the front, he checked the ID, and I was in! yea, bitchesssss! I get inside the club and meet up with curly, give him his ID back and we're all ing happy that I pulled it off. I meet up with TA's at the front, and they're all stoked that i'm inside. Finally, the night has begun!

:eyes: OMG!!! What an Amazing Night!!!!
I get to the club a little after 9 to find Tigo, Curly, Lomie, Simon, Randy out side all ready. There was no line so we all chated for a bit.
Around 9:30 more TA's and people show up and Right at 10 they start letting people in. :happy2:
Once inside Victor is throwing down some nice darker Progessive tunes and then bulids his set up very nicely.
Around 10:30ish or so Kris and I walk to the "meet and Great" area. The security gard did not stop us from getting in. I did not have a pass! :D :D :D Ferry Arrives at 11 says hello and starts talking to fans. Jesse is there and asks Ferry all types of awesome Questions, and Ferry answerd all of them. In fact he answerd every ones questions. Such an awsome guy!! :D He takes picutres signs passes and is mobed by a drunk gril. But he handled it quite well. He even goes out side to talk to fans who can not go in and or gets the bouncer to let people in so they can hang out :) Ferry hangs out for about and hour and right when he is finished Sarha comes in and asks me to introduce her to Ferry. So I did :) He even wished her a happy b-day.
After the meet and Great it was back on the dance floor to catch the rest of Victors set. By this time the dance floor was packed with people. And every one was loveing what they heard! Such an amazing job with amazing tracks.
Ferry gets on at 1am and Avalon goes off! Ferry starts of pretty mellow, but bulids his set to make a beautiful journy! I was glued to my spot holding up my hearts, makeing my "goober Hearts" and dancing my ass off. I moved only when I could not see Ferry any more and or to get away from the annoying guys who wanted to dance with me, and the shirless wonderboys.
Mike comes finds me and takes me upstairs to see Kris. Avlon was packed with people, but the energy was simply amazing! There was not a single person standing still! But the music was too good to be upstaris. My spot was on the dance floor!
I have to agree with Curly.. I thought the sound system was turned down a notch. it was really low. But that did not stop me from getting in to my zone.
Threw out the night I see Kris in the very front with Simon and some other TA's holding up the heart she made. On it in black pen it said "Play Punk" Also at this time JC finds me and hands me a wrist band so I can get back stage to take pictures.
Around 4ish I give Kris my wrist band and she joins me back stage and guess what... Ferry Played Punk!!! So awesome. He even made a comment on how present Kris was with the heart. NOICE!
I look at my phone and it is 5am. At this time Ferry turns the monters to the crowd. The sound system was off in the front but Ferry was not done yet! He gave us an extra hour! WHOOOO HOOOOOOO!!!
And the dance floor was still packed! :D :D
Ferry's set was so amazing!:eyespop:
Airbiscuit - Lately (Riley & Durant Remix)
FB ft. Edun - Whos knocking? (Ferry Corsten Remix)
Ferry Corsten - Its time (Flashover mix)
Ferry Corsten - Sublime (THrillseekers Remix)
Ferry Corsten - Punk
Ferry Corsten - I love you
Gouryella - Gouryella
William Orbit - Adagio for Strings (Ferry Corsten Remix)
Ferry Corsten - Rock your body rock
Dogzilla - Without you
Ferry Corsten - Fire
Ferry Corsten - Galaxia
DJ Tiesto - UR (Junkie XL Remix)
BT feat. JC Chasez - The Force Of Gravity (Ferry Corsten Remake)- I asked Ferry to play this one since I did not hear it at Love parade :D
Smith & Pledger - Northern Lights
Where my highlighs.
After Ferry's set Kirs and hang out to chat with people, and also chat with Ferry! :D Such an amazing person!. I remeber this one guy comming up to Ferry and chatting his ear off. He was talking about something when he brought up Adagio for Strings was a Tiesto song! :haha: :haha: When he got corrected by Ferry it was classic! Major party foul! :haha:
Kris and I are still talking to Ferry and then we get invided to go upstaris so we go. We Grab a drink hang out for a Bit and then Ferry had to go.
What an amazing weekend!!!! There was so many TA's at avalon last night. That made the vibe so much better!! :D
I will post my picts soon. :D |

Highlight of the night for me was when Victor dropped Larry mountains 54!!!!
YOU ARE THE MAN VICTOR!!!!
To me, it seemed like Ferry took a long long time to build into his sound. |

The whole night was like one driving pounding force of energy and my mind is still very scrambled from it all.
I drove down to Chris’s house to meet up with him and our new friend Alana. Alana just moved out from Chicago and this was going to be her first LA event. Chris and I are prepared to show her how we party it up Hollywood style. But little did we know Alana is a parting pro.
Got to Avalon around 10:30 and Victor was already on the decks. Usually I walk around a bit and don’t go on to the dance floor right away because I like to wait till it fills up more, but I couldn’t resist. Victor was already blowing us away. I really wasn’t expecting such and amazing, knock you down, kick your ass opening set. However Victor obviously showed no mercy to the crowed and Ferry. I have only seen Victor open or close a few times, and they were nothing like this. Victor wanted to own and make a lasting impression, which he did indeed. He didn’t seem to mess with the slow build up, while trying to conserve the crowd’s energy; he went buck wild from start to finish. OMG sooo many amazing tracks and alot with vocals which I completley die over. I really wish I was a track master like some of the other TAs on here, because I would list every track name that blew me away. Then again I am glad I am not, because I would have listed almost every single track Victor played, including my all time fave Swing to Harmony. His entire set had me smiling from ear to ear.
Ferry comes on around 1:00am; he does however start things out pretty slow for the first couple hrs in order to conserve everyone’s energy. Little did we know he was going to end up playing until a little past 6am. We decide to walk around a bit and I start running into a lot of my TA friends. Woody, Julia, Mike, Kris, Michelle, Danny and Lisa, Bob, Eric, Clovis, Tigo, Sarah (a big happy birthday), Rocky, Rez, Lomeli (007),Adriana, amongst others.
By the time I get back to the front of the dance floor, I see my friend Alana dancing up on stage. I am totally in disbelief. Wow this girl’s first LA event and she is able to quickly work her magic to get back stage with no VIP band. Whoooo hoooooo way to go Alana, I am ecstatic and so proud for her. She likes to have as much fun as she can and knows the way to achieve it. I think I just met my new partner in crime. She takes a break to come and find me, and right away she yanks me back stage with her. Awesome, this is so cool, cause the dance floor was really getting packed and it was getting hard to breathe out there. Ferry kicks it up a notch and starts laying down some awesome vocal tracks for the next couple hrs, including another all time fave of mine Force of Gravity. I am just singing my heart out to all of these beautiful songs.
I usually take a few breaks during the headliners set to walk around a bit and socialize, but Ferry then turns it up another notch and starts in with some real hard driving tracks and just wouldn’t quit. I couldn’t leave the dance floor, well for a few bathroom breaks, but then I was right back on the floor. Man on man, these tracks just keep getting more harder and harder. I think I broke my elbow, neck and back from bopping my head around and thrusting my hands in the air soo much. Ferry is killing me, I have never been able to dance non stop like this without taking breaks, but I just can’t bring myself to leave the floor. My feet and back are killing me, so much dancing with no breaks. Oh man then Ferry throws down Rock your Body Rock and the crowd looses it. It’s about 5am and we think this will be his closing track. The dance floor is still jammed packed and no one wants to leave, but then Ferry just keeps playing. This man just won’t stop, OMG he is just determined to leave no survivors. Then all of a sudden the main stereo system gets shut down and the only two speakers that are playing are the ones on stage pointed at him. He finally realizes they are trying to shut him down, but he’s not having it. He turns the speakers towards the crowd and just keeps going. Hey lays down more tracks and finally the main system turns back on and he continues to own us. Finally a little after 6am he closes out.
Oh god I am aching all over and can barley walk back to the car. But we are still not ready to call it a night. We head back to a friends house and end up spinning after hours until 11:30am. Geeeeez
This is defiantly an unforgettable night for me. I carried a smile on my face through out the entire night, and enjoyed everyone’s company. So much positive energy from most people in the crowd. For the few that came with negative energy, I say build a bridge and get over it. Negative energy only causes misery on the ones who are throwing it. |

That was an awesome night. One of the best TA turnouts I've ever seen.
Ferry really made my night by playing Force of Gravity (it was the reason I bought his CD).
I got molested by 2 bisexual girls during the course of the night and Curly didn't save me, despite my pleas for help. :(
Here's my favorite pic that I took...

And now... off to the Brad Paisley concert! :toothless |

Damn!!! Last night kicked the crap out of me. 7 hours of dancing!!! But a nap in the park, some MotoGP and In-n-Out and I think I have enough energy to link two sentences.
High Points:
The HUGE TA turnout!!! Everywhere I went there was either TAs I already knew or ones I met last night. That definitely gave a sweet vibe to the night.
Victor Dinaire: We got there at an early 10pm to try to avoid any lines which worked as we just walked right in to an empty Avalon. We were planning on chilling in the balcony and conserve energy until Ferry came on but like carriegsxr6 said, Victor was just tearing the place up. We couldn't resist any more so we danced our way up front center which was mostly TAs while Victor just rocked Avalon. Definitely a great set.
Ferry: What can you say? Ferry is Ferry and the first 1/3 and last 1/3 of his set was incredible. You can see it from the track listing. Everyone was dancing. The stuff he does for his fans is beyond cool.
Simon’s elbow!!! Lol
No sweaty shirtless guys!!!
Again, all the TAs in attendance!!! Loved partying with everyone.
Low Points:
FB ft. Edun – Who’s knocking? Just my opinion but god how I hate that screaming part and over Avalon’s speakers it’s just that much worse.
What’s up with Avalon’s lighting? Was the light guy on vacation? Usually once the headliner goes on they step it up but I didn’t see anything more than very basic lights. Not a big deal but one would think for a Ferry Corsten Residency opening night, they would pull out the stops.
The middle 1/3 of Ferry’s set left me kind of flat. In retrospect, it appears he knew what he was doing by letting everyone recoup a little before attacking us with the last 1/3.
Me and Leah leaving at around 4:50 and missing Ferry refusing to be shutdown and some sick tracks.
Lots ‘o washing machines
The 101 was closed off. After sitting in traffic for 15 minutes, I had to take an alternate route home which probably added 30 minutes to our drive. If we had stayed at Avalon till the end, the 101 was probably opened back up and we would have been home at about the same time.
Most awkward moment:
At one point in the night, I was starting to get a little touchy with my girlfriend Leah. Problem was, I was getting touchy with Michelle who was right next to Leah. :nervous: Opps…Sorry Michelle. Good way to make two girls mad at you. Luckily I didn’t get too far.
Without a doubt, a great night!!!! |

SAME HERE! The one in the red shirt was scary as hell! I think she got the wrong impression when I was smiling in her direction. I wasn't smiling at her trying to flirt or anything, I was smiling because she looked ed up beyond belief!
She finally makes her way to me after she's danced with at least 10 different guys in 2 minutes. She patted my head and asked me what I was looking at. "I'm trying to keep away from these people bumping into me," I said. Then she starts trying to get close to me, and no way am I having this . Her friend asks me why i'm so rigid. I said to myself, "Maybe because I don't want to dance with your friend who looks like she'll eat me alive!" With that thought, I make up some bull excuse and get the outta there!
