regarding jadakiss i think he's really wack, so overrated. there's definately many mcs out there (yes, still) that are way better than him.

someone mentioned black star and i think that is trully one of the best hip hop albums of the 90's. in fact, it is THE best. 2 huge rappers with an amazing dj, DJ Hi-Tek.

I don't think Canibus would fall under "real" hip hop ... but jesus christ this guy can rip some vocabulary up ... one of my favorites ... so is Mos Def and Kwali ...
