new 404 interchange at 401

| So ive been trying to figure out for months what they are doing with the new 404 interchange. I finally figured it out the other day. WIth the addition of high occupancy vehicle lanes, the configuration is a nightmare. Its hard to explain with out a diagram but basically it now forces some cars to deliberatly cross 3 lanes of traffic and also artificially narrows the flow of regular lanes to accomodate the HOV ones. Lets just say that when other people figure out what has been done to this interhchange it will be the scandal of the century. |

i drew a diagram..
the arrow shows what HOV cars will have to do to get to the DVP
its pretty dumb and its going to be a big scandal.

| Dude, you read the diagram wrong. The 3 lanes that it crosses is by means of a ramp/bridge that goes in a really odd path and then back into the median between the DVP south and north bound lanes. |

i've been having to drive thru this bloody nightmare of an interchange for the past 3 months .. sometimes traffic to get onto 401 westbound, heading southbound on 404 get backed up all the way to Finch !! :whip:
did i mention it's taking forever to finish :mad:
