Ok guys, we're just trying to find out what you like and/or disliked about the club so that we can make efforts to address them. This is just to help us serve you better.
Thanks....

| Only been there once and definely liked it. An improvement would be for more of the staff to be more aware of the password situation. Other than that, keep bringing in the big trance names. We could DEFINTELY use Marcel Woods, E-Craig and Ton TB, not to mention Rank 1 and other Dutch Phenoms there. The place has class! |

Double Yay's !!
keep on bringing the Trance acts.. or just the 'non-regular' acts and this club will be my #1 fav !
:D
+1 on E-Craig and Marcel Woods.
Also.. Gabriel + Dresden.. plus u have many local dj's that completely rock. Where's Markus Schulz and Edgar V on ur line-up? |

Metropolis needs to take out that secondary hiphop room to the right of the main room and put a different genre of music in there. theres already a hiphop room... why make two?
Secondly, the line at the front needs to be addressed. i understand that the club is new and everyone and their mother wants to get in, but to have THRONGS of people outside and very selectively let people in regardless of how many people are already in the club is ridiculous. I walked in with about 7 people (6 of them were girls) and one of the doorpeople (some brunette) got on the case of the person who let us in because he let in more than 4 people at a time.
Thirdly, I think instead of hiring all of these armies of promoters to get people in teh club, that they need to concentrate more on finding people better suited to bring the right crowd into each room. It would be best to find the best promoters of each genre that is in each room, and hold them accountable for the crowd they bring into that particular room, instead of having 50 little jits hired to bring in their 17 year old friends into a club. I understand that they are already taking care of hosts for each room but i think its something that needs to have more effort put into it.
Mandy has done a great job bringing diversity into downtown. Judging by the lineup he plans on bringing in, he has been definitely listening to the ears of patrons wanting to hear something fresh. He is already way ahead on his way to creating a great environment that can really set its mark on miami, but these problems among others need to be addressed quickly before he finds himself belly up from the club simply not producing enough.
another road he may want to look into is bringing in some good talent in on thursdays for the 18+ night. kids party just as hard (if not harder) than the old folks do..why not give them something that would justify putting a higher price at the door? that way they can replace the money they lose at the bar from people being too young to drink. Personally, I think the younger crowd would really enjoy hearing artists and dj's like Stryke, Confucius, Icey, etc.. but they seldom get the chance to hear them due to the limited availability of 18+ events in miami. The club could make a KILLING if they capitalized on this.
:) just my .02 . I think the venue is awesome, and hope it all works out for the best for Mandy and his staff. |

Having been to the club only once, which was the opening day, I will only give my criticism regarding from what I saw that day.
I will say that the talent been brought is great considering the new and fresh sound you guys are bringing in.. but I must be honest for the better workout of the club.
First of all the lines outside. That issue needs to be regarded and fixed ASAP. Not have like 10 people outside bringing in clusters of people from different corners. Its just a huge, big ass confusion of stressed out promoters and clubbers alike.
Also if there's a possible way to fix the conflicting clashing of sounds in between rooms. I happened to experience this.. I would be on on room and I would have the main room music overtaking the music inside of any given room. Mostly the ones on the sides ( cant refer to the names ).
Another thing that must be adressed when theres a huge amount of people inside is the way to manage the hallways. There was big disturbances where girls were hurt on the process of goimg from room to room, besides the time it took. Very stressful, and somewhat of a turn off having to do that.
In all fairness, I would be coming back to Metro next weekend for John 00 Fleming, and I would probably build a better a critic seen that there were some changes from the opening night to recent nights. I dont know how you guys are planning or have managed to fill the club in weekends.. but thats something interesting to see in the workouts.
So in conclusion, I wish the metro crew all the best and hope you guys are able to workout through all this things that will surely make the club one of the top ones of Miami in no time. Good Luck!
Felipe. |

The club is very nice but the bathrooms are the most disgusting I ever saw. From the Prophecy room we had access only to the one in front of the hip hop room (because of the show on the Azucar and VIP access on Nile), the smaller one, some were not working and the others where all floated and nauseating. Hope they do something about it because it’s just unbearable. The position of the bathroom entries on the hallway wasn’t a good idea…
Music was great :toocool: and the rest in general was okay ;) . |

I vote YAY with a few NAY's
1) Rope off the main room vip area.. way too many random people come and sit at the table that partons are paying for. If Im paying for bottle service, I dont want to have to sit and watch over my bottles from random people walking up to the table and stealing it. Both times I have been there, we have had to stop 2 different people from trying to steal our bottles. God forbid if anyone at the table wants to go walk around the club.. At Space, Crobar, etc... the staff watches over the tables if there is noone at the table for whatever reasons.. This really needs to happen at Metro.
2) Clean up the bath rooms.. they are disgusting. Also.. install more stalls (for men.. and I have heard for women, its worse). People are drinking so people gotta piss somewhere... and not in trash cans that I have seen both times I have been there.
3) The sound system was way off both times I have been to the club. If I have to wear ear plugs to a club, then Im not comfortable. Dont get me wrong.. I love loud music, but the music in Metro has been deafening both times I have been. I just think the system needs to be tweaked a little.
4) I have heard that the club plans on having seperate entrances to each room.. please get this started up. Everyone in Miami knows you are there now.. there is no need to make the place look crowded from the main entrance. Metro has by far the worst door in Miami right now.. and it would be pretty sad to lose business from an inexperienced door.
5) Whats up with drinks being different prices in each room?
6) Overall.. I love the club.. just needs some minor adjustments... which Im sure will happen down the road once the new wears off... it will have to.. there is too much competition in Miami for people to have to put up with BS.
You guys have a great thing going... Make a few adjustments.. keep the quality talent coming in.. and you guys won't have a problem at all filling that place up!! |

The reason why just about anyone on this thread goes to Metropolis is because of the great talent Metropolis is bringing. I don't know who is heading this, but they are picking talent that no other club has dared or even thought of bringing. MAJOR KUDOS
Second, Every single one of the posts preceding mine is true and Metropolis should definitly listen to it. Being a "tranceaddict" I was so upset the night blank and jones came because I had a bouncer stopping me from going in to a place that definitly was not "full to capacity". AND your promoters are not well informed of the policies. I had an "Express Pass" only to learn it still required standing in line and $40 to get in. The parking around the club is not so pleasing and the people around the club (homeless) are not so pleasing, neither is the area the club is in. How about getting together with the other clubs and the city and cleaning up the place? I'm sure you can get tons of investors to clean the place up, brighten it up, get a nice garage, some palm trees there.
Hey why not beam the DJs to a large screen outside of the club? give people a taste of the action inside, put a bar outside... There's a lot of creativity that can be done. Right now it's just another "Space" if you'd ask me, with a ty ass line. |
