oh nice another recipe thread. a year or so ago there was one and i got the best recipe for broccoli pasta that was from the sopranos cookbook.

anyway i saw a few reference to peanut sauce in another thread so i thought i would throw my recipe out there. i was in a book store a few weeks ago and saw a thai cookbook, but it was $30 and i didnt want to pay that much for one recipe that looked good, so i memorised it and tried it out that nite and fixed it up.

1 can of coconut milk (400 ml)
1 cup ground peanuts (i bought whole roasted peanuts and threw em in a blender)
1/8 cup fish sauce
3 Tbsps sugar
1 Tbsp red curry paste (mae ploy is good)

throw in a small saucepan, simmer on medium heat for about 10-15 minutes until thick, not too thick, but thicker than what you started with. throw on chicken or favourite meat and put on bbq. use extra sauce for serving.

yum :toothless !

i like www.epicurious.com for recipes, i have found some good ones on there and reading reviews is helpful too.

Veggie Lasagne:

1 large aubergine (eggplant)
1 large courgette (zuchinni)
1 packet of spinach
1 punnet of mushrooms
1 packet verdi lasagne
1 round of mozzarella
1 jar Ragu lasagne red sauce
1 jar Ragu lasagne white sauce
Parmesan cheese

Slice aubergine, courgette and mushrooms into <0.5cm pieces.
Fry these in a little oil for 3 minutes, then add some cracked black pepper and the red sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.

Blanche (quickly boil) enough sheets of lasagne to cover the bottom of the dish you are using. Layer these half cooked sheets into a lightly greased dish.

Spoon over a layer of the vegetable mixture. Add a layer of spinach to that. Add a layer of pasta. Add a layer of white sauce and throw in the odd dollop of mozzarella onto this layer. Repeat until ingredients are gone, then use last of mozzarella and some parmesan to do the final cheesy top layer.

Place in oven at 350ºF/180ºC or Gas mark 4 for 20-30 mins until cheese on top is golden.

Enjoy :)

arent you supposed to microwave for 2min for 1 and 3:30ish for 2 :nervous:

you wouldnt have to let cool at 70 sec. they'd still be near frozen

Beer Shake

Milk
Chocolate Shake Mix
Dark Beer
Ice Cream

1. Mix milk, chocolate shake mix and dark beer together to taste and blend.
2. Serve in a tall glass over ice cream.

You can also replace the beer with irish cream or whiskey or something, its all nice.

This is my very own recipe right hurr bitches.

This is dinoXpress's "im poor or my kitchen is empty but im still really hungry and want to eat something tasty" Baked Beans and Toast.

Ingredients:

Can of Baked Beans
4 slices of Toast
Olive Oil
Half an Onion (one of the big ones)
Fresh Garlic (or powdered, fresh ftw)
2 or 3 mushrooms, like the regular ones. i dont knwo what they are called
Cheddar cheese

1. Chop the onion and mushroom and cheese into separet piles, with the cheese, use like the 5 grams ish maybe.. maybe 10 grams however much you see fit. chop 2 or 3 cloves of garlic as well

2. fire up teh stove and get some olive oil cookin in a frying pan, then add onions.

3. add in garlic after onions have cooked for a bit

4. when oniosn start to brown add in mushrooms

*i use copious amounts of olive oil. tis good .

5. when all seems cooked and nice. turn off heat and let sit.

6. open baked beans. put into pot, begin to cook. use your own judgemtn or the labels advice.. like 3 or 4 mins i think.

7. add in the fired veggies to the baked beans, mix it up and stir em.

8. right before baked has fully melted.beans are finished add the finely cut cheese and mix in until the cheese

9. put 4 pieces of bread in teh toaster

10. after toasted place toast on plate covering most of it.

11. glob the baked bean yumminess on top of the toast and open a beer and enjoy!

Feel free to experiemnt and variate. Baked beans ftw!
