Besides a lost of you sporting a " I'm better then all that " attitude I find great irony that you keep making connections with SF when most of you never went there.
I have said this before, despite SF being a drug magnet ( which you should more appropriately blame on the djs ( jp etc ) and their following and not the club itself but that's debatable ) it remained one of the most pristine locations in the city in it's time.
The sound/lights were amazing and just the whole thing is undescribable as to how good it was from a technical point of view.

With Crobar, Spirit Avalon and all those mega clubs all seeming to cover pretty much the same things across the musical arena ( by different means ) I can guarantee you that there is still space for an extra location especially like Pacha.
Is the crowd from Tribeca, and all surround borders, including New Jersey and beyond be sufficient to keep the place running but also not let it turn into a hell hole? The future shall tell us.

I'm not currently in the US but I most certainly would go if I was in proximity of New York. Even if it was only a fifth of this lineup every month http://www.pacha.com/htmlpagesall/Images/Pg008+009-PachaMag12.jpg

I'm sure it's going to be sick that's all I can say to conclude my thoughts on the matter

And for those who didn't go on pacha's site to check on the magazine:

I am a little bit in between when it comes to clubs...I like a little bit of class and glam but also some crazy music and people who are down to earth. I guess we will have to see who's expectations this club will meet.
I am excited for it in any case because its a new experience ;)

I'm not sure if any of you read this already:

Maybe it will ease your minds on what to expect...

great article, i really enjoyed it... and i still feel the same in saying that i dont think the "club kids" as they mention can share a club with bottle service... its just two different crowds that cant possibly share a venue... jus my opinion

I'm excited about this cause any new club has potential, and in this city of continual closings, we need as many fresh opportunities to dance and make a new club feel like home as we can get. Only time will tell how it turns out, but this is definitely good news.

And yea jdat, what a SICK lineup! Makes me dream/drool... :p
DJ_Lord
Good stuff!

Just the name makes you think of the beach!

There will be different sections of the club ... which really is the way it's done in most venues that exist out there regardless of the scale of the club ( it sounds like you are personaly against VIPs as a whole ). Pacha will just be on a larger scale.
Vlad
I dont mind the VIP section at all in clubs, since I like to whore them, but Im a bit worried about the type of crowd this club will generate. Since they are promoting it as a "glitz & glam" club, Im worried about the druggie meatheads and barbie dolls destroying the ambiance of the club.
