Drag Queens count?
No. We were actually commenting on his lack of mic presence last night. But he did mention something at the end about 'wishing he was able to speak French," so maybe that had something to do with it??
Oh, he told me that I was the reason he never came out of the booth as I harrassed him for his John Hanon my Black and Blue Poster. (He obliged.)
He also said that his last appearance in Montreal was 9 years ago and now that he is finally free from his NYC residency every weekend he would be back much more often! :) |
Didn't he play at Stereo last year? |

| This was one of the best parties of the YEAR by far...not surprising really since Montreal always delivers...and did it ever! Thumbs up to Bad Boy Club for putting on one hell of a party...the set up, the lights, the venue...I felt like I was in the twilight zone! Needless to say, the djs were fenominal, but for me, Danny just outdid himself! Wow, what sweet beats, and after another...just when I thought it couldn't get any better...it did! He did pick up the mic a couple of times...he said he wanted to clear up some rumors about him retiring by saying "no in way" and that music has been his life since the first time he got behind the decks in 1975 (then he dropped some cheezy song from that timeperiod)...he also kept thanking everyone for being there, wishing us a happy thanksgiving...he was having a blast! I was seing him jumping up and down as he was mixing, he was super into it, just like the rest of the party. Finally, he said that "they are making him stop" and so he said "and remember...some day we WILL be together" and then he dropped the remix of "some day, we'll be togeeeeeeeeeether!"....I can still hear it in my head! For all those who missed it, I'm sorry for you...I hope he will be back next year so that you will get a chance to experience what we did! marg, nat, laura...so much fun partying with you girls...and props to marg for keeping up the "orange" tradition...ah, brought back lots of memories! I love you! |

He was one of the early Black & Blue main headliners (it was the 15th Black & Blue). I think that's what he meant. Which means that he should be back for B&B in the coming years.
He said it was his 30th anniversary of DJin this year. That's just crazy! |

We also asked him when he would be in TO and he jokily said "never, he hates that city".
The best was tho, when I asked Ceballos on the dance floor where his partner Chus was, and he said (in the best Spanish accent ever: "Chus, he is old. Me, I am young".
They will be back in Toronto Nov 26th. |

What an unreal weekend. No one can through a party like Montreal. Olympic Stadium is just plain massive, so perfect for a big dance event like that. The beats were dirty the second i stepped in to the second i left. Chus & Ceballos spun a ridiculous set, the best i've heard by them for sure. And it was my first Danny T experience and i hope it will not be the last, he destroyed me and left me paralyzed. It's a shame more of you didn't come, always next time:)

:D that was oldschool.. i loved the first few hours of Tenaglia, but got a headache and couldn't deal with the bass...
C&C, i would say less iberican than Lot332, tho others might argue...
their set blew me away tho.. everytime ppl were wandering away for a bit...
d00d we're gonna go sit down for a bit, you comin'?
