Circuit Parties are general named after colours in most cases, the old skool ones anyways ie: The black Party in NYC @ Saint At Large
The White Party in Florida
The green Party
the Blue party
the newer ones take on more creative names such as Southern Decadance which was unfortunatly cancelled this year ( as it's in New Orleans), Nation in Thailand, Jungle ( aka Jungle Fever)
alotta the times they originally started out as Birthday parties or Fundraisers, and most of them still are fundraising events. |

He said that:
-He is staying at the DELTA
-He is not retiring despite the rumours that were circulating that he was indeed retiring this year :-)
-He felt so honoured to be back at Black and Blue
-He wanted to play music after 12noon but they wouldn't let him. He then begged the security to play one more song. The lights went back down and he dropped IN AND OUT in a remix that I have never heard before.
Then the lights went on, and it all felt like a big blur.
Had a great time!
Will never forget it!

Awesome party, tho u wouldn't know it if u read the Montreal reviews. All they did was complain and say how Danny sucked. Now, I'm no DT set connaiseur, but I was very pleased w/his set. Quite trancey and melodic, very little tech, and house of course. Lotsa good oldies. Crowd was a lot less vocal/enthusiastic than you would expect for a party that friggen huge- dunno if the gay crowd is generally that quiet, the drugs subdued them, they didn't like the music, or what?? No huge outroars of excitement at all. Enjoyed the drag show, didn't understand where the highschool skaters demo fit in, and the mens choir during the 'safe sex' show was SOOOO off-key and flat, its a wonder who hired them.
Funniest moment was Marg leading us thru the 'car wash', only to emerge right into another 'car wash'. Ran into some TO peeps, which is always nice to see familiar faces. Big thanks to Lama & Frankie (madgenta) who put us up even tho they didn't come to the party, and fed us royally, a la Ramadan, and Frankie for providing the wicked beats at home. |
