My evil plan has worked...
It was just a post people get to serious about this stuff..
Party had tones of mix off's and everyone who is a dj entered.
It would be cool just to have a showcase of Miami trance dj's..

How often do you guys spin on 88.1. I haven't heard any trance on that station in a while. Then again i haven't tuned in on that station in a while.

If you aren't Gerry, Eric, Relik, or maybe 2 or three other dj's who actively post on this board for about 12 fans, then you are a nobody ;)
dont even bother answering questions about your credentials..lol they dont know about you and ID&T, or The Corner, or 88.1, or anything like that. Theres no point in explaining that there is more out there in terms of local talent than whats on this board.
Thats why I seldom post on here. people talk about this being a message board to post opinions but when your opinion clashes with theres..yours is obviously wrong :toothless duh!
Besides, you would think a community of music lovers would welcome talent they have not heard alot of with open arms..... |

Eyekon, you're brought up some good points, but you have you have to realize WHY people in TA didn't welcome Kaenow with open arms (and sadly enough, I didn't either... his attutide is that of some total snob. From the looks of it Kaenow has no social skills.). You need to know WHY people on TA don't care.
You also need to realize that most trance DJs are pretty similar, they relatively play the same tracks, the same way. Even if you think he is a talented mixer, well there's pretty much more where he came from, so introducing another one here isn't alone enough for people to go nuts over. He needs either A) a great personality (which he showed to have a really ty one) or B) an extremely unique DJ style (which is promos just play tracks every other trance DJ is playing, and quite poorly I might add.)
So since he lacks personality and uniqueness in DJing, he resorts to the next "attention grabber", his credentials, in a desperate attempt to gain our approval.
So quit bitching that we didn't welcome talent with open arms, and start realizing the "why" behind it.

Quit trying to impress us. It's not working. Nobody cares if you are Tiesto's plumber, what matters is how good you are. You come on here accusing us of talking the mad blah, but not having stuff to back it up with. For God's sake we post promos here, play at any given TA party, ect. Look if you want my credentials, I have a remix of Solage - Messages on Paul van Dyk's Politics of Dancing 2 and my remix collection of Messages releasing soon on Vandit, My new track "blue" is coming out on Jon O Bir's conspiracy recordings. I'm spinning with the locals at Trancelvania, and I'm still relatively a newcomer, unlike you who's "been around the block so long". Okay all these things are nice, but you know what... MOST PEOPLE DON'T GIVE A ! SEE HOW REDICULOUS THIS PARAGRAPH JUST SOUNDED? People don't like braggers. Yes you can be borderline cocky, but at least make a joke out of it.
When I post a promo here. I just post myself... who I am... I give you guys a taste of me. I'm not here to post a campaign for Paul van Dyk's
badminton-playing tour with westbam... or Jon O Bir banging the essentials at his little cousin's birthday party.
You need to take your own advice! Okay so ID&T sends you a few promos here and there, that doesn't mean you're their new mascot! If you're so down with them, how come they have no mention of you on any of their pages? Please! If you wanna be an arrogant bastard and be cool around here, at least be funny. |
