I didnt post that message that was Eyekon.
and I didn't start my thread cocky.
I don't mention my affliations or what promos I have coming out or anything like that. I didn't mention it once. I keep to myself post my radio shows and go on about my business.
Eyekon made that post. I have no reason to say anything about any of the labels that I work with. No beef every towards you gerry never have I once mentioned your name or any other dj on this site.
All I said is that we should host a full dj show once a month all the dj's post to one thread with their demos (promos) so everyone can have a listen to all the local dj's on this site.
That doesn't sound cocky to me.
Get the facts straight before you attack. |

Oh well... maybe you could have been more specific in the thread, or made a funny comment or something.. because to me it came off like you were dissing ALL the FLTA DJs (including me, relik, eric, and the works) for talking crap, and not their showing skills.
Starting a DJ competition, coming from a newbie poster and a DJ, sounded like a whole scheme to "tear us a new " and to show us how great a celebrity DJ you were, not really an encouraging thread to get DJs who don't post mixes to post them.
And then you played it off like the whole arrogant crap was a "scheme" to get DJ's attentions. The reason I didn't buy it was because in the Tiesto thread and other ones, you took that same attitude with you.
Okay so maybe the internet is a place where it's hard to interpret text because there's no gesture or body language behind it. So we basically take everything posted here literally.
If you can't think of anything charming or funny to say to ease the arrogant comment, at least use one of the smilies here. You won't be considered a wussyboy for using them. They actually kind of help interpret the mood of the text you are writing, to avoid certain bashings like these. :gsmile:

Thank you for understanding. I support the locals to the max I am a local. Eric is a really good friend of mind and I enjoy everyones set =). There all on my ipod. I support the local scene this is where I made my mark. And every dj on here is very talented.

Now before someone goes in yet AGAIN with another damaging blow to anyones name, credentials, or whatever..let me just say this..
many of the dj's here play the same tracks because we ARE in fact TRANCE dj's.. I have heard your productions Gerry and they are really sound :) unfortunately for me i seldom use any of them because they just arent my style..in fact, i tend to enjoy more towards the dance version of trance..with influences like Ferry Corsten & co. and also play a bit of breaks here and there to liven the dancefloor up too.
What im trying to say is, each of us, altho we play similar tracks, has their own thing going for them which makes them different.
I think ill take it a step further and say that it would benefit all fo the listeners on this board by having a party where all of the TA's that can spin take turns giving everyone a taste of their own unique style..not to prove their mixing is better or track selection is more updated..more because they enjoy rocking the floor.
And btw gerry, your post had some strong points but did you really think it was necessary to blast a dj for not having good mixing qualities..ESPECIALLY when you have played along side him on the radio? No offense to you or anyone man..ive done my share of talking and have gotten reamed for it too (lmao), but the locals wlll never get anywhere by being at each others throats.
