too bad I left before he played Soopertrack :(

Overall good night, but some of the tracks he dropped were just too weird. Im not sure if the crowd was lovin the style either, seemed like it emptied out a bit at one point during his set. I enjoyed myself for sure!

his last tune for his set was great. :) true, alot of weird that he put into his pioneer cd-dj but wtv. there was an error u heard with one his transitions, which really woke me up thats for sure
Enjoy
It was ok; the tunes were mint, but the order he played them in .. a bit strange at times. And he ed up on several occasions, one being "whoa where did the music go...?" Oh well, he's still a wicked producer.

He finished his set with The MFA - The Difference It Makes if I'm not mistaken, awesome awesome track.

Got my album sleeve (Balance 005) signed, thxx Louis. :)

I thought he was great in Ottawa. Very original tracklist and (mostly) great transitions. Couple of minor errors, but nothing big. I think it also has a lot to do with his live editing, which makes transitions that little more trickier.

He played tons of new tracks that werent on any of his recorded sets (i have them all pretty much :)). A few of them jems, particular a couple that had his name written all over them (prolly gonna be on his forthcoming EP).

PS. I dont know how he could play almost 4hrs in ottawa, sit in a car for another 2hrs, and then play at aria for another 3-4hrs.

Verms ya pas joué Soopertrack:(
He finished with
Petter - All Together

un ptit tracklist:
Breathe on Me
Issst (Fake)
Lump
Sky was pink (icelandic & holden)
Safari
Metope - Test Crash
2 tracks from Aphex Twin with a sample that sounds like It doesnt Matter from The Chemical Bros
Elle Alien - dont know the title yet (The MFA Remix)
Dexter - Easy Lee (i dont know what remix but not the original pi est malade)
He might have played Extrawelt - Zu Fuss... if its not well he played a track having that kind of breakbeat and shuffleness
Pat the guy at the coat check told me he played stuff on Minus Records, also Matthew Dear et Matthew Dekay

My Review:
I enjoyed the night, James was playing good, not too much errors for someone who looked as ed as he did:p
He played too much cerebral stuff that is great but not dribing on a dancefloor and obviously people were into more dancing stuff like Safari...
I think he was mixing really great
I was surprised by the amount of people i thought there would be less
As someone said earlier he kinda cleared a great part of the crowd at some time (that i really dont remember) but for the rest of his set those people stayed and they seem to enjoy it...

i really wanted him to play a bit harder, with some sick acid tracks but he did play stuff i went crazy on but then after he was getting into mental stuff, that i like but not as much as i would have like to hear Out at night for example...

anyway great night with nice people and someone who is changing music, well imo always

Verm
Ellen Allien - Magma (The MFA Remix)
he played Nylon - The Mouse
a great song that I like a lot but which is soooo soft and everybody stopped dancing for the whole song
like Mekroon said, he played way too much of that kind of music, kind of ed up experimental minimal tech-house, it's great to hear at home or whatever, but not on a dancefloor, the songs were too slow, not enought hard bass&beats and not enought crazy melodies, he played Lump tho, that made my day
from all the 2005 sets I've heard from him, this one is by far the most soft
if he played Extrawelt - Zu Fuss instead of Soopertrack he's very ed up :wtf:

one thing that was enjoyable about this morning, space to dance. only hit the dance floor like @ 7am, stayed behind the booth for like an hour.

only thing that upsets me, one line up for both the hip hop and main room. thats one thing i dislike, standing in line with 99.5% of the people heading to the hip hop room.

oh yah... forgot... two dudes almost started to fight on the dance floor at like 8 something in the morning *sigh* ing idiots.
