| To be honest I wouldn’t mind pitching in some money for the good cause (im serious some of you may laugh but w.e) but when dealing with koky i have my doubts,lol jp. Koky there are some questions in which you havent giving any answers. What is the goal, better yet the amount of money that you want to collect? How would the money get to Coup or will he ever accept it? When is the dateline regarding collecting the money? Where the heck do you send the cash/check/money order to?:conf: |

coup needs to set up a paypal account, from there everyone can deposit donations as they please. if the balance breaks $300 ill throw in $50.
see the thing is, TAs like to say "oh yeah, i got 20 on it. sure ill throw in 100." but when it comes down to it, no one really does. that is why the TA dinner is allways a flop, and any TA party where there is money involved gets ed up. trust me on this.
and BTW, who is this Coup guy you all talk about? have i met him at space or something?

im not trying to be a dick here, i wish everyone could make it to WMC, but everyyear someone gets left out for whatever reason.
if we are gonna start a thread to bring someone to WMC, why didnt we start a protest about the war in iraq last year so Zewad would have had a chance to come. i think we'd much rather have that co-ray-zee bitch around than someone few of us have met. |

thanks everyone! first a word to the people not impressed with this idea. if you dont want to, thats upto you. it wont be your money so thats it really. no need to add negativity to this thread.
that aside, im so flattered that you're all actually prepared to do this. I could never ask any of you to do it dispite how much i would love to party. If you are all serious then i'd be so grateful. You wouldnt have to worry about flights, hotels, or any of that.
If this was to really happen id just need one person in Miami to collect all the funds, and direct bank transfer it to me (costs $10), I'd then arrange my own flights and airports because it'd be simplier if i did.
If i was to be able to stay with a TA that'd lose the hotel cost. So really I'd just need flights and spending cash. Obviously id try and save as much as i can but im not joking when i say i really do not have funds for this. Maybe in WMC time i can have some put by - if this happens i'll try my best.
Ok i got a very rough quote for a flight return and it came to $500 USD. I can feel we'll well off that target. if we cant hit that i cant ask u all to pay that amount. depending how much i have i may be able to join in but we'll have to see nearer the time.
