I dont want to hijack the thread now but im going to get a bit off topic. From my understanding our currrent Mod(Coup) is a temporary, but IMO he is functioning very fair around here, seems to mantain order and has a balanced authority. If he lacked all these qualities then i would start thinking about a change in Mod, meanwhile No. Regarding who is fit for this kind of position in FLTA in my list i only have 1 maybe even 2.:cool: Those in my list i dont have them because they are kool or because i like them, they are in there because i think in some way they are fit for the job.;) |

Right i think we should put this to bed once and for all because i give up alot of my time here and if people want an FLTA based mod long term, which i would fully understand then it should be done without hanging around.
With regards to why i dont think i see a suitable candidate is because i dont see anyone here who is active enough + mature enough + unbiased enough to do the job good enough.
When i first got involved in the whole atl/miami situation i had nothing to gain at all. I saw an area of ta in a mess and being a mod, even tho it wasnt my section i came in, gathered opinions, maybe trood on the other mods toe's and got us this section. My first job was to keep the peace and look for another mod.
It was only this week this idea of bringing me over came about, so from gaining mods to now, i have had nothing to gain at all. The fact that ive given so much of my time which should really be spent modding the main forums (even Swamper has told me to spend less time here and more time there) modding this area to this standard, when its a part of the world i dont even live in and have any associations with should say enough. This forum is great, friendly & active and if the moderator is poor it can bring the whole forum down with him/her. Thats why i spend more time here than COR because COR is a different type of forum, this needs the friendly active vibe to stay alive.
Rambling over. If the people concerned wish their mod to be FLTA based then i fully understand and would not be offended at all. I would much like my time this forum takes given back to me, but not at the cost of this forum going to . If i cared more for my time i wouldnt have gotten involved to begin with. Either way, if you people want to make a poll to see the response for electing a new FLTA based mod then i'll support it. You'll need a shortlist of self-elected candidates, and then a 2 week poll to get the numbers from the memebrs of who they want. If i am outnumbered by another member and that members if considered ok by myself and Swamper then we'll make them mod.
If that is not going to happen then id like the whole "coups only temp mod thing" put to bed because its not nice to see it cropping up every other week with how much time i put in. |

| I'm tired of seeing people bitch about a mod who's doing such a good job, just because he's not from here or whatnot. I think the time for a new mod should come down a little later down the line after maybe someone mature from FL can step up to take the reins. (<-spelling?) Until then, I want Coup to stay on. |

I like Coup as mod, I think the forum is A LOT better then it was before...lots more people coming over & posting which was something rarely seen with all the turmoil going on! I'd say we're def. more peaceful. So I think Coup should stay as our Mod even though he doesn't live here. He cares about our forum & our scene. It was HIS idea to do the Edgar V thing which benefits us! Not even being in this country & look at things he does, things that weren't being done by the previous mod who cared only about where he was from. Not saying in ANY way that no other person is a good canidate...I'd say the best canidate BESIDES Coup is Manny (MJM420) because he's the most unbiased & most friendly but I think that Coup just has more time to spend moderating & is more active.
Other than that I hope Coup stays! I don't understand the big deal with this anyway. |

| Before Coup was our mod I hardly spent anytime in FLTA. It was full of negative bull. Someone was always bitching about something. Now you guys want to bitch about this again. :rolleyes: |
