I try my best to keep the ammount of mercury entering my bloodstream at a minimum... That, and making my immune system weak as so that it can fight a strain of the flu we're not even sure is the type that will end up spreading for the year... uh...
I'll pass on that one, the last 7 times I've had the flu I haven't even puked... I think my immune system has that under control :) |

I've had this arguement every year with people and for most, I agree, get your damn flu shot.
However, myself will not be in this exclusive group and a number of reasons I'm not even going to get into.
Let's just say, I have a very, very good immune system. ;)
Anyone else bucking the trend? |
i have a immune system........but i wont get the shot in fear of government conspiricies that treat people like lab rats.
psssssssssst......its not 100 percent safe. |

Ha! You'd rather be sick for days, missing out on work and feeling like death rather than get a 2 second prick in the arm?
No thanks.
I swear by the shot. ALWAYS got the flu every year, in '94 got a HORRIBLE one, found out about the shot, got it ever since, never got the flu again except in 2000, when I forgot to get the shot, and to make it worse had strep throat at the same time. Never felt like dying so bad in my life. Super high fever both times. No thanks. |

immunizations and antibiotics are 2 entirely different things...
i had no choice but to get my flu shot the other day as it's a requirement for the program i'm in at school... however, as mentioned previously i really don't find it necessary unless you're a young child or an elderly person...
i've gone many years with a flu shot and many years without, and either way i've rarely caught anything other than a short lived head cold with or without a flu vaccination...
i actually came down with something after getting my flu shot this year... though i don't think it was the actual flu shot itself that made me sick, i can't help but question the productivity of my immune system against other germs while it was 'busy' producing antibodies for the flu virus... |
