Having just done a presentation on humanity's losing war against bacteria, I'm gonna pass. The flu is self-limited, our immune systems should be able to take care of it on their own. Taking shots only contributes to the bacteria's immunity against our antibiotics.
I'll stick to eating healthy, resting, and all that other BS to keep my immune system up to snuff. |

The flu shot is the actual injection of the various flu types into your body. Since they are in little doses the body creates the imunization against those flu types injected. Flu shot has nothing to do with antibiotics....
If you got the flu and it gets worse, high fever, the couph is comming from the deep lungs then taking limited dose of antibiotics is not a bad thing; You have to make sure the flu does not grow into the pneumonia. It does not matter how strong the immune system is, body cannot fight some types of flu on its own. Lots of water, lemon, garlic and sometimes antibiotics are required.
As for the flu shot, I got one at work. Some lady came over and gave us the flu shot. Some people had a choice between the shot and a white powder lane for sniffing. I went for straight injection, man, felt good for hours after...
On the serious note, thats the first time I got the flu shot and feel normal. I would not take it, I would have to go to the clinic, too much hassle. |

I get the flu every year with or without the shot. In fact its possible to get the flu or become sick from taking the shot.
I just dont see any reason why I should take a shot which only contains the flu virus from previous years.
Not to mention the sick possibility of a government conspiracy (Im just going crazy). |

hitting what books again? I'm not even a med student. The course was an elective. Here's some reading if you're interested what I did my presentation on:

Thats a secondary article though...If I manage to find the one that was the main source of info I'll post it. |

| Yeah, I've never had the flu and I'm not planning on getting a shot. My body can deal with it on its own if I get it, even though it'll feel terrible. I don't think I'll get it though, so whatever. |
