The dude in the pirate outfit right? :nervous:
That guy is at all the big shows in San Diego. At first I use to be annoyed with him and his act but now I’m kind of happy to see the guy.
One thing about him he has great taste in music, if not clothing.
He is a bit of an institution now like the bird in San Francisco. :eyespop: |

FYI. the pirate is an awesome guy. he is a borismd fan and supports all his major shows. what is crazy is his passion for music without being under the influence. I have heard he hardly drinks let alone do other stuff.
I wish we had more people like him.

Alright kids here is the review:
So I faked food poisoning at work to get off a few hours early so I would have the proper time to get ready and pre-party with my dear friend Erik... After getting ready I headed over to his place about 6:30 and we had cocktails and chatted before taking a cab to On Broadway about 8:45.
We were the first one's there (I had to be there early to help out) and I saw the guys from Klub Circuit while waiting, chatted it up with them, always good seeing them! Then into the club for my first of many glasses of champagne... I aquired the email lists and chatted with the VIP bouncers about how the night was going to go, ran over to Boris to say a quick hello, and then back to the floor. I saw a few great TA'S right away (Michelle, Kris, Mike, Austin Scott, Julie,hot dog water and a bunch more ...) and met some really great new ones (Dr. Anthony Ross and many many more)! The room began filling up and I had to take care of things up in the VIP so back I went, grabbing a few people along the way. Then it was Armin time!!!
Armin was in a great mood and we were able to chat for a while and take a bunch of pics... luckily there was no mob scene like at Spundae. He spun a killer set like always, bringing out "Message in a bottle" like he has every time I have seen him in the past 2 months.. but the crowd loves it. Everyone was really feeling it, and it is the best show that I have seen at On Broadway! The go go dancers were grat (for a change) and I could tell they were really feeling the music and were happy to be there! Armin was great about pics and signing stuff, and made faces periodically at me to which I would respond back to him with the same. At the end of the night he took pics and stuff with many fans, and security was a little better than usual about not kicking everyone out immediatly. We took one more great pic before saying see ya in a few!
After the party was over, and all the good bye's were said I headed back to my friend Erik's house for a quick costume change, put on my "I Want My AVB" shirt, and headed over to an afterhours thing with Armin... unfortunatly b/c of his early flight he left quickly, but when he saw my shirt he sang "I want my MTV" while pointing to it. I hung out with some cool people at until early in the morning and then back home to sleep.
All in all it was a really great night! All the TA'S that showed up kept the vibe really cool and I can't wait until the next event! |
