Thanks for the words guys. My camera is a Canon SD500. I had the auto-focus assist off to try to not annoy Armin with an orange light from my camera, so a lot of the pics were out of focus. I pared the original set of about 200 photos down to the 89 that you see in the gallery.

i knew it was Canon but i thought it was mid-range. SD500 is
supposed to be the best compact camera. under lights, there are
very few quality shots.
i am curious of the night shot capability of SD500. would it be possible
to take a picture of a dark scene with all the automatic settings?
