Severely disappointed. 
for real man.
1> i get to spirit at 11:45 and holden is spinning in a completely empty room of course. UH..WTF? :wtf:
2> the crowd was thin the entire night.
3> the crowd consisted of thugs, guidos, tourists and prom queeens...and the crazy asians always reppin' to the fullest.
4> holden got off the decks at 1:30. he probably came back on at 4 but i was too ing jaded and pissed off to stay :whip:
5> lazarus' mixing blew asschunks for the most part.
6> his flow was worse. 2:30am he was still playing floorfillers.
7> i was wearing a sweatshirt and i was getting hit on by crackies and guidos alike. A SWEATSHIRT.
8> in sausage fest. SALSICCIA i tell you!!!
i hope holden rocked it if he comes back on at 4. it would be cool to have them to do b2b but i doubt that would happen. i think the saturday hip hop parties are bringing in s that are spilling over to the friday night events as well. NOT GOOD. ffs.
good point: groundhog boy and kadomony provided fun entertainment for the night, thanx d00ds! "hey, are you billy corgan?" ROFL. :stongue:

Damn Dani... last time I saw Holden, Spirit was packed... he definitely DESERVES a packed house! Spirit has always been pretty good to me, that would be awful if it were always like this now. :mad: But I think this is just bad look, I'll be optimistic...

girl, i feel you- last time holden ing BLEW the muthain ROOF OFF!!!! i was going absolutely insane, jumping up and down and ... loving every minute of it!!! this is the first really bad time i've ever had @ spirit too.. the entire time i was looking around at hippie crackies, guidos and thugs and saying "what's going on here? where are my peepos?!"

last time i went to holden he kinda bored me with that repetive border communuity sound which totally didnt leave me hopes of going tonight. kinda funny how the night with you dani..glad i didnt got lol. next week im still deciding sander or lawler? hmmm sander is 0 dollars, lawlers is 25 dollars still with a ing piece of bathroom attendent..hmmmm sander it is most defintely with mr fanciuli..spirit sucks..bouncers suck there...vibe kinda sucks there (though the lights there are better then crobar) butttttt.. the bathroom attended can suck a ing piece of my lol haha..that makes me totaly wanna goto crobar..nicer staff there..def worth it for 0 dollars on the guestlist..k off to sleep now, im pretty wasted at this ppoint of tim ehahahah |

Ok, Christina and I were exhausted as it was, being that we'd gone to Cielo last night for the Swedes. We disco napped for a bit (3 for her, 2 for me) after getting 2-4 hours last night and putting in full days at work today. Got there right before 12 and basically was bored all night. Holden opened ?????? Damian Lazarus came at like 2, maybe.... Lots of the beats were good, but overall, tonight was the boring night for me of the weekend. We'll see everyone at Carl tomorrow.
Good meeting Kadamony, seeing Lunasea, Zizack, Karin (sp?). We left at roughly 5. I hope it got better, scene-wise. As Christina is saying now, the music was really on point (Holden really laid off to start and was playing quiet and mellow, but was picking up by like 12:30), but never really went anywhere. I'd agree, as I could never get into it either. I just don't know what to say. The only other time I've seen Holden was at Cielo last fall. I kind of think that he's better for a smaller room. Tonight, there were just all of these dorky guys (seriously, like 80%), and while they were loving everything thrown out, it just wasn't enough for me. The other percentage were thugs who got Friday and Saturday mixed up because of the hip-hop party on Saturdays (as much as I'd like to joke about this, it's accurate, ask Dani) |

| Don't stereotype. Because my friend dresses semi-thuggish when we go to clubs. If he doesn't have to dress nice, he doesn't. But he really digs dance music since I started dragging him to all the big DJs. |

trust me, we're not. these were guys just going up behind girls and trying to grind with them- they were NOT there for the music At All. if they were dry humping girls from behind, they were just being tossers in the crowd and trying to do motown-wannabe dance moves. |

Well... maybe he's comparing him to the bathroom attendent at Crobar? Cause the guy at Crobar, Andy (ha! I know his name!), is ing awesome. Such a cool, friendly guy.
I also noticed the bathroom attendant at Cielo was nice/funny too. |
