his demonstration was horrible and he looked gay doing it. lol.

Key shifting? HOW COOL!
Maybe i'll start playing around with ableton... fits my DJ style anyway... i like loops and samples and adding things to tracks... maybe this will be better?

I dunno tho, i'll never trash vinyl or CD totally...

How many more "is this the end of vinyl?" threads are we going to get?

I guess I'm sorta happy in the middle...I'm loving my new Final Scratch V2 and have all the aspects of the feel of vinyl and features of loops etc! Nothing close to Ableton, but I don't produce yet anyways.
Joost
I think Final Scratch will be the way to go. Best of both worlds! :)

i really don't see how anyone can say that vinyl isn't going to all but disappear within the next decade. every new piece of equipment that comes out is geared toward digital music (cdj's, the new a&h controller, more and more software). nothing new is happening with vinyl.

A time encoded vinyl that spins on your standard Tech and speaks directly to an mp3 being played from a digital source with zero latency isn't brand new technology?? Vinyl is still evolving my friend.

That demonstration sucked. I don't think he knew what he was doing:wtf:
Whatever that blue light thing was, whenever he used it, it completely messed everything up...it sounded like the beats weren't matched. I hope this is not how his usual performances are like...

but that is a lot of work . BT is crazy good. itll be hard for others to be so talented with such a program imo.

Having just got some cd decks, all I get told is to buy some TT's by DJ mates, all this debate is going to put people off getting into DJing as they will want to wait to see if vinyl dies or CD takes off as the prominent force.

Man After watching that movie I now hate everybody who does that.

1. NOTHING - NOT ONE thing sounded good.
2. He was standing there doing nothing the WHOLE time.
3. Ooh, you can press the space bar, you can play at the biggest clubs worldwide because your spacebar pressing is so "l33t"
4. It's gay...
5. If you can't carry 10,000 vinyls...buy SSL or FS... at least you're not cheating by having a program key tunes for you beatmatch them and bring them in while you dance like tiesto.

Yeah, pretty much sums it all up.

Damn that vinyl, everyone keeps saying, ever since 80's, that it is about to die. That son of bitch still does not die. Keeps living, bastard. Damn him.
