| Percs percs and more percs. If it had more percs it would be RIDICULOUS. It already sounds professional and I love the melody, but if you added more percs it would just add that much more to the tune. Other than that I commend you on an extremely well done job. :) Now I just need to get my tracks sounding professional :P |

Nice intro, the bass mastering is really nice, sounds very well placed, what you used to master it? It's very clean and does not eat the spectrum.
Liking the gated synths also, above all after the break!.
In overall, really nice tune, it lacks of some piano or a stronger melodie imo, but that's just my very personal taste, good work excelent track :).

Very clen crisp sound. Like that angelic voice. gives it a bit of atmosphere. like that synth that comes in around 0:45.
Very dutchy. reminds me a bit of armin van burren's 'communication'. it has that real atmospheric trance feel.
Its definately the stuff i would listen to and. would love to know what u were using. id love 2 get a sound like that. all my stuff turns out to bangin an techy. |

Heya,
I really love this sort of deep melodic emotive trance. The melody is very well done and has a long drawn out progressive feel to it. I think maybe some more buildups in intensity could add to it. Not breakdowns as such, just more builds and rises.
Love the kick, its got a lot of character. The percs especiialy are very clear though I agree the clap is kinda non existent.
The lead sounds good but feels a tad standard. Throwing in another patch to spice it up every so often or just maybe a bit more fx could keep it interesting maybe.
Good work regardless. Great track. |

Just to react to a few questions or remarks:
Dj_Kane : I have send you a PM about what I use. But you have already seen that by now ;) Great to hear it reminds of Communication, one of the all time legend trancers for me :)
Kopi_luwak : The only thing I have done with the bass is stereoimage it underneath all the other sounds. It has a pretty wide and low stereofield. I have heard that might make it harder for Dj's to mix but indeed it gives us producers more room for other sounds. Also I found that the notation of the bassline helped me quite a bit in this particular track. I had a different notation first but that did not work as well.
Djlogik : I am working on more and more percs in the new track I am playing with at the moment ;) Thanks for saying that my track sounds professional, but I just see myself as an amateur who gets lucky every now and then :toothless |

Great track one of the best ive heard off here for quite some time.
Great melody, kicks sits nicely and the build up is brilliant, very epic.
Looking forward to testing it out on a decent system this weekend, good job menno.

the track has got the replies it deserves. any joy with sending this one to labels? if only this was released back in 99/2000. it would have been a uk top ten with positiva!
...anyways i look forward to playing this one for the first time this saturday, probably second track from last on a two hour set:)

Richg101: YOu were the first to comment on the track and at the end of the day you were right about the reviews I would get :) I have started to send out the track yesterday. Already had one reply from a dude from a label who said it was a pity I already "shared" the track for review here on Trance Addict because now the track no longer is fresh. I guess everyone producer on here should no longer post tracks for reviewing here anymore and just send everything directly to labels. See if they are happy with that :D ;) |

hey nomen!
my mate was mixing after me on my university halloween night tonight and his set was sounding good and trancy. i handed him my cd of 'even angels cry' and he played it. it went down well as a build up before he dropped 'spiral' by robert nickson. they went very well together. and both rocked the floor as good as one another.
great track as ive said before and tonight proved it!
