I wouldn't suggest keeping the name as 270 (Spadina). It's good for now b/c the club is in transition and will be changing but when the finished product is, well, finished, it should have a name that accurately reflects what the club is about and brands it the way Carey and partners want it branded.
Carey, I had a really bizarro dream about you last night! Ben Murko was in it, and we were trying to pick names for a techno night...and tiefshwarz kept coming up...it was a really weird deja-vu. |

i like the idea of keeping the name 270 spadina....
but if you insist on renaming it you should do what the skydome did and have a contest where everyone can suggest a name and the winner gets lifetime free guestlist for every event at the club... |

The Beast is comming, Another HiFi SBS Showroom
SBS - SystemsByShorty has been contracted By David Morales & Nevio Persia for their new nightclub to engineer & install a New custom designed SBS HiFi Analog Sound System, which SBS has branded as THE BEAST, for 270 Spadina Ave In Toronto Canada.
This sound system will be very similar to Stereo in Montreal Canada in many ways. This new space will have 4 stacks & side fill, unlike Stereo having 6 Stacks with no side fill. This system will have different electronics modifications, different TAD drivers than the design we did in Stereo aswell. We are designing this system a bit different to keep each sound system & room unique in its own right, so each room will have its own sonic character & Flavour.
This sound system will be a 6 way Analog HiFi TAD sound system. With 5 Levan horns and 4 SBS Tweeter arrays.
The entire fullrange will be Bryston powered with Crown amplifiers powering the Subbass and Super Tweeters.
The processing will be SBS Custom Modified Bryston analog x-overs for the fullrange, SBS Modified RLA x-overs to control the entire sound system and custom Isolators.
I will post more information about opening dates of this space, the name of this club & availablity for demonstration of our latest SBS Showroom in the near future on this site aswell as systemsbyshorty.com |
