Haven't heard anything from Yahel at all...so I thought I may as well post this up...winning this competition was a big shock - if i was in the top 5 i would've been glad. I've listened to all the remixes posted and some I think sound better than mine...but all I could do was make my remix and send it in. Anyway here it is :D

| definately solid work from you ricky, really enjoyed the remix mate.. trance that's not exactly over the top and really has that feelgood feel to it, definately a winner (no pun intended :)). |

Mint.
Very well done. Only problem I have is that you lost the signature Yahel lead... why?
Yahel tends to make very elaborate "talking" synths, which is what makes him awesome. You seem to have totally minimized that awesome lead, and ran with the backup counter arp instead.
Well, nice work anyway.. like I said, Mint track, but it may as well be an original and not a remix. |

| Nice work man, a really worthy remix, and congratulations on winning! It's a shame Yahel hasn't responded... although I wonder how many people have sent him remixes recently :D |

Hey Rick
Great atmosphere in the track. Fine composition.
Some things I do dislike, I'm sorry to say. Clap is too thinnish, track is loooong. Missing the yahel lead too, but it's hidden in the bells. Some clearance in the low end would be nice, reverb making some mud here.
BUT the way you create that atmosphere, a chillish icy(plucky bells) one, nice usage of ethnic percussions and flute, choir pads,.. really nicely done m8. |

Nice intro! I agree with Jay M; clap isn't too good, but the atmosphere is great with the flute and percs and stuff. I didn't hear anything that reminded me of the original untill 5 mins or so. I think it's allright, don't really miss the sound of the original lead either. It was the drawback on many remixes imo...
Well done! |

from the start i knew this was the most worthy winner there could have been.
really atmospheric and original. great beat and sophisticated all round.
nice build up. 5;00 has a dark feel to it.
kudos on binning the dreadful main melody! and coming up with a nice track.
6;50 onwards is where the track sounds its nicest.
great work! |
