Girls that young are naive, jewelery is easy to show off. |
I'm just saying,a Tiffany bracelet is kind of over the top for someone you haven't been dating that long (I'm assuming they haven't been dating long if he can't even figure out what to get her) and it's a lot of money to blow on a 17 year old who's not going to appreciate it. A gift shouldn't be something to "show off" it should be something that is special... something to show you care. Jewelry doesn't really show you care unless it's an engagement ring... it's just a quick and easy way to get something over with. |

But I think we can agree on 1 thing...
Spending more than $100, is plain dumb. |

Hopefully they still have the 707s or my dad ordered it or something....
My dad called them and they said they have some 707s left in stock but are waiting for a new shipment of 200s from Pioneer. |

I would say get some hooch, but they are underage.
Ah hell, get some anyway.
Pay the hobo extra for his JD.
If you have to fight him for it, just bumrush him, then give him the 'ol hobopunch. |

I think it also depends on the jewelry. If the jewelry that you bought has meaning behind it then sure it shows you care. Depends on how you go about doing it. |

| DUDE! WTF are you thinking spending $300 on a gift for a girl at 17??? I hate to break it too you but you have better odds of getting colon cancer then you do of this relationship working out. Why go putting that kind of money into it. Get her something that she wants but something small, preferably something with some meaning (like something she mentioned she loved from her past that she no longer has, or something that has special meaning for the both of you). My first gift (christmas) to my now wife was a copy of Mary Poppins on DVD.... she had mentioned it was her favorit movie growing up and she no longer had a copy.... she loved it more then anything else I have ever given her (except maybe the engagement ring). |
