| i dont understand why u guys think oakenfold is overrated...likeing someone and if hes good or not is 2 different things....sure he kinda sold out...but he still has better mixing skills then any dj above...i personally dont like oakenfold but i admit one thing hes a damn good dj with superior skills...so i dont understand how he can be overrated |

this is pathetic! why the hell is pvd, and dave seaman listed up there? and wat amateur said that sasha and digweed r overrated? seriously some of u people dont know what the trance is at all :rolleyes:
oakenfold is good, was better b4 but its oki, still wud like 2 see him..tiesto is alright, but not overrated...sasha, digweed and seaman r underground masters, and they wud take on any of the above listed dj's no im not sayin this coz i luv proggie so much, coz i know that their amazing dj's, its all about understanding the musik :) they all have better mixing skills than the dj's above..but PVD and marco v r amazing dj's ;)
my vote wud go 2 the en cheesy ass dj Judge Jules, god he's ty, even though he can put a good set, but most of the times his sets are ty! |

| hhhhhhmmmmmm I would of actually voted for Sasha or Digweed if they Out of the prog Djs I like people like Nick Warren, Sander Klienenberg, and Dave Seaman, I've only liked some of the tracks Sasha and Diggers have produced personally mostly the stuff they were making a year or 2 ago, I think they are so overated as Djs in the UK and probably around the world. And Judge Jules might of got a vote if he was up there what can I say cheese ing cut the edam. |

Hmmm ... poor old Oakie ... how can a DJ be over rated if everyone already hates him?
Those of you who slag off at Oakenfold day and night, need to seriously appreciate your history ... there would be NO such thing as uplifting trance if he hadn't made those trips to Ibiza and Goa before any of the rest of us had ever heard of them ... the dude virtually singlehandedly created the uplifting trance DJ set sound and then spent the entire 1990's pioneering the stuff and bringing it to the UK. OK so he's playing a more breakbeat style these days (which I personally quite enjoy) but hell - nothing - and I mean NOTHING - beats vintage Oakenfold for sheer upliftingness ... have any of you guys ever actually listened to Tranceport or - even better - GC Lotherton Hall '99, and still think that Oakie is over rated?
Tiesto on the other hand ... I can tell you for sure there would be no Tiesto if Oakie hadn't done exactly the same thing (only better) a few years ago ... yet Tiesto totally gets his sucked 24/7 by the vast majority of TA's :rolleyes: Tiesto is already going down the lazy superstar DJ path of playing the same in his sets and not spending the time in the studio doing the remixing that made him famous in the first place ... he's gonna be total cheese in another couple of years ... £50 says he falls so low by 2003 that he ends up with a show on Radio One :D |
