I think most of you need to hit a dictionary ;)
Like my boy blue_neon and kia kaha said, how can someone be overrated if they are constantly getting trashed on this site!?? You never see someone say "boy golly gosh i LOVE paul oakenfold, he is the best".... some of us happen to still enjoy him, but we don't force his down your faces do we? Trust me, Oakie is NOT overrated.
(props to blue_neon and kia kaha by the way)
You guys want to know someone who's overrated? Paul van Dyk... by FAR. Every other tranceaddict on here has a "PvD is god" written in their sig, above their avatar, or makes that reference in every other post. Half the signatures on TA have a picture of PvD in them.... and everyone is always raving about him. I've seen him live twice and haven't been too impressed yet. Didn't care for Politics either.
But why would i say that.
nah, i think i'll just jump on the bandwagon.... seems to be the cool thing to do now. Yeah, Paul Oakenfold IS overrated! :rolleyes:

| I got to say i wasn'y suprised buy this result. Paul Jokenfold can't mix to save his life. But I must give him Props where props are do he did a great deal for the industry and club scene. He is kinda like the Puff Daddy is to the POP scene, can't sing for but he 's the guy you want to make it in the biz and produce your . I base my feeling about Oakenfold strictly on DJ skills. I think he was good back in the day, but then he got BIG and skills diminished. He could still be a good DJ, but like a lot of people who become big also become big headed, and there music suffers because they know they can put out a product and people will love it anyway. I'M MOT ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE, YOU GOT TO PROVE IT TO ME NIGHT IN AND NIGHT OUT! |

agree, Pete Tong, Tall Paul, Mr.Fontaine...very chEEsy dj's :rolleyes: although Fontaine could have some sick ass tek-house beats, like in GU004 Prototype, but thats just my taste for a share :) i heard that Tong was good BACK in the days, but now he's total crap...Tall Paul from time to time puts some nice house beats, but when he was here in august 2001, i heard his set from the radio station, 60% was cheesy house tunes :toothless on the other hand when Fontaine came here to system sound bar, his set was quite good ;) but then again like i said, the majority of people wont AGREE coz they don't understand progressive musik :rolleyes:
ya Robby :) your right about PVD, he's by far right now the most overrated dj, but he's still sick :)
1 thing for you TA's, PVD is playing this tune in his sets which is called Lustral - Everytime and i suppose you all know ;) funny coz Paul Oakenfold was 1 of the FIRST dj's who played this song on WHITE LABEL and the song is on his GU007 New York...tune is from early 98 and its a real classic...just to let you guys THINK about it :eyes: |
