The Bo Jackson Method

So tonight, I decided I want a chicken parmesan sandwich for dinner. I used shake n bake for the chicken, because that's easy, and prep the tomatoes, olives and bacon. Then, the chicken is done and the George Foreman is warmed up and I go to get the cheese. I open the fridge drawer and...there's no cheese.

My dumbass forgot to get the cheese out for a thaw before work today. Since everything was ready, I decided to try to cut the cheese in half. Usually, I store half of the cheese in the freezer for later use and half in the fridge. So I decide to break a 24oz slab of cheese in half. I warm up a knife by running it under hot water and using arm and gravity, i try to break through the cheese. Instead, I get a small groove, about 1cm around the surface of the cheese.

I'm looking at this cheese, and I had one of those moments where you think, decide, and act all at once. Similar to the man in the thread's title, I decide to punish my stupidity (not thawing the cheese) by breaking the block over my knee. Needless to say, it failed. I decide this was a stupid idea (helped by the throbbing in my knee) and return to the hot knife method.

Getting nohere, I start jamming the point of the knife into the cheese, hoping for a breakthrough, but nothing. Again, Im looking at the cheese, and i think, 'what the hell', and I bash it against my other knee. It did nothing but balance out the bruising on my knees.. One last time, i try stabbing the cheese and sawing it with the serated knife. No doing. For the last time, I pick up the cheese out of frustration smash it against my knee.

It worked! Never let anyone tell you that the Bo Jackson method of splitting a block of cheese does not work.

a compelling story about the trials and tribulations a common human must face while simply trying to eake out an existance. Superb.

You don't remember when he played for the Royals, and he would get pissed and break his bat over his knee after striking out? I saw him do this on 4 or 5 different days at Cleveland's old Municipal Stadium.
