no seriously...i really don't think there is another man out there who could even be a little spec on a pimple on my man's very sexy ass.
so my day was kinda ty yesterday even though it was my birthday. i woke up and had to take a cold shower and get ready in the dark for work...then i get to work and read my birthday thread which definitely rocked and made me feel all special n stuff:toothless but no one in my office knew it was my bday and i didn't really care or expect them to, so because of that, it was just a regular ol' day.
but then i get an e-card, a Dfilm movie and an email from my boyfriend:) he told me i had to promise not to leave work early since my first gift was going to be delivered by the end of the day and that he would call me soon, but had to study for an exam the rest of the afternoon. YIPPEE!!
so whatever, the day goes by and i don't hear from him and it's already 4:30. i call him and he doesn't answer:confused: so i leave a voicemail saying i miss him and i was just wondering if he's done studying. i was KINDA hoping he would surprise me that night and show up at my door but i didn't want to get my hopes up. and that idea was slowly becoming a wish more than a reality since he had a major exam today. i thought, "man! he's gotta study so he won't be able to come see me".
so he finally calls me at work and he's like, "baby! can u do me a favor? the delivery guy can't find your suite, can you go outside, he's right there"
:D:D i get off the phone with him and dart outside and there's this geek there from another suite waiting for the elevator. i'm like, "hey did u see a delivery guy out here?" and he's like, "umm no" so i figured he was downstairs so i waited for the elevator with this guy and then DING! the elevator doors open and there is my sexier than ever boyfriend in a dress shirt and sport coat all dolled up with the most beautiful vase of roses i've ever seen in my life.   it was like this really tall square shaped vase with water and rocks at the bottom and a bunch of long stemmed white and red roses.
i was surprised to say the least. what a ing cutie. that was just the beginning. he made dinner reservations for us AND MY MOM (but she knew i wanted to be alone with him so she said thanks but no thanks) at this fancy seafood restaurant on the water.
he had my gifts professionally wrapped so beautifully and he wanted me to open them in a certain order and his card almost made me cry. every gift he got me was something that i had mentioned over the last few months. he pays attention to EVERYTHING i say and do, it's crazy. he got me these beautiful hoop earings because i complimented his brother's girlfriend on hers and said i had been meaning to buy a pair because they're so 80's and i love them, this prada perfume that i tried on when we were window shopping together in the mall like 3 months ago and fell in love with, my favorite movie on DVD (well ONE of my favorite movies that i keep ranting about to him because he's never seen it) "Heat", and Rob Base & DJ EZ Rock's "It takes two" record. the RECORD! he is SO not into music. well i mean he IS, but not before me. i got him into edm and he is fascinated by the whole DJ thing and thinks it's really cool that i have records and am trying to learn. we had a discussion about tunes that really get us pumped up a while back, and i was like, "well everyone is gonna laugh at me, but i don't care...Rob Base It Takes Two gets me on the dance floor every time, i love that song" so he goes and orders the record for me.
i'm going to marry this guy. he's too perfect though it's kind of scary. i'm waiting to find some chopped up body parts in his freezer some day.
can anyone top my story? what sappy things has your significant other done for you?
i know this thread is obnoxious but i'm so friggin happy still and wanted to share my story. besides, some of you guys in here could learn a thing or two in this department so take notes.

| It sounds like he took a page out of my book. That's the sort of thing I do for Claire all the time (it doesn't need to be a special occasion). I've said it before, it sounds like you have yourself a winner. Give Craig a big thumbs up for me! |

Ha!
I did almost the exact same thing like 6 years ago (surprise meeting, restaurant reservations, flowers, etc).
He is but a sheep :p
That said, don't call him perfect.
For your sake.
Everytime I have heard a women describe her man as perfect, she gets bored of him after 3-4 months and shatters the poor dudes heart.
Nice guys finish last n all :( |

I have to disagree with you on this. Sure, nice guys tend to do poorly in terms of quantity but inevitably the nice guys land the better women, the healthier marriages and the happier lives. The trick one needs to learn is how to be an with most women but recognize when you meet the right one and pull a fast 180... that way you can have the best of both worlds. Unfortunately, most men can't do that, subsequently, my recommendation would be to be a nice guy.... sure you'll get hurt often but it will pay off in the end.
We all think Jamie is great and this guy (from what I've heard) is a really good man and seems to be doing a great job keeping her interested. Good for him. |

Aye, I learnt from my last relationship to spread all the surprises out, you can unwittingly create a level of expectation that you cannot keep consistent if you dont.
And yes, the time spent with my last girlfriend is worth 100 shags with random birds, undoubtably.
Never been as happy as I was then. :D |

Yes people. Money can buy you happiness.
I give it 2 months and the relationship will be done and ovar |

it has nothing to do with the money, but rather the effort and thought he put into my day to make it perfect and special:)
my ex is a good example of what you said though. he always bought me fancy gifts like a diamond watch and a prada purse, but really it was too easy for him to go to the store and just buy it and not even wrap it and give it to me when i got home and then say, "where do u want to eat for your birthday?"
anyway, i'm with moral about nice guys. they may finish last, but they only finish last with insecure, immature, and unappreciative women who haven't a clue about what they want. every woman is what i just described at one point or another in their lifetime. god knows i was that girl for about 2 years. it's just a matter of when she will finally grow up and realize what is truely important to her in life. and that should be a man who she can trust and count on and a man who will never take her for granted and makes her feel beautiful. that's what i want. that's actually what i need, and i feel so damn lucky to have someone who makes me feel that way. nothing he does goes unnoticed or unappreciated:) |
