ok - so i started to look at real estate online and clearly, i can't afford anything in manhattan - 1 bedroom/1 bath condos for only 500 - 700 sq feet going for $500,000 - $600,000?!
what areas around nyc could you buy a condo that is reasonable? in the $300,000 range (which isn't reasonable, but probably realistic). i don't want a super long commute to manhattan - office is at 300 madison near grand central station - but could do 45 minute commute if necessary. is this even possible? |

i guess the incentive plan was more than you asked for huh lols. you're looking at purchasing property now...sweet!
well to be on the safer side of things, usually if you venture to the outskirts (suburbs) say Queens, Parts of Brooklyn, Long Island, you'll most likely need a car. To and from work/city yes not a problem if you find something along the LIRR (which is nice too - 20-30min train ride into the city not subway ride)
I have real estate agents in brooklyn and queens that might be better to assist you. But quite frankly (even though I am biased) living in the city is worth the rent money lol)
edit-also what she said^^^with a big ? not hating on jersey, just think you might not want to do that heh |

Q: But where in New York can one find a woman with grace, elegance, taste and culture? A woman suitable for a king.
A: Queens!

| granted i dont kno much at all about living in nyc but... wouldn't you want to rent for a year or so in the area that you're looking to purchase a condo in first?? purchasing property IMO is a huge decision and you need to kno you're in the right neighborhood and that you feel at home in that particular neighborhood most of all and that takes time.. |
