Like I give a ! I say what I want! Aight, so I thought PvD was pretty wack, but to be fair, I didn't stay for his entire set. I'm glad you all liked it, though. At least someone enjoyed it. :)
And, DA, too bad you didn't take a pic of Melissa's face when I told her I was leaving.
She almost started crying. :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: |
you heart breaker you :wtf: :haha: |

To me, PVD is #1 and there is NO ONE better, I will always be there to listen to him, however I thought his August set was much better than last nights'. There was energy, but by the time it was like 4:00, it was dying out. I walked all around and it was not the same. Not like in August, that the place was insanely packed until much later, eventhough he also started later. Nonetheless, we had a lot of fun and I cannot wait to see him again!!! Glad to hear you guys liked his set.
To the box crew......Thumbs up biatches!!! |

i love it when i hear i didnt expect. august was good, dont get me wrong, he was banging it, but it was too predictable. but yeah the energy did die out towards the end. but thats cuz he started playing crap like dark beat and the other side and time of our lives. *BARF* but it cant take away from how he was playing for the first 2 hours. omg. insane pvdness! :D |

wow that song is sick!
I'll admit, i have never really been much of a fan of House music but wow, Edgar never ceases to amaze me. even his transition to progressive trance was sick. those thick basslines OWN that system at space. sicksicksick!

I have to agree with you there, The first hour, hour and a half was insane, but after...I wasn't too impressed. |

decided to fly out from Houston for this one. To me it was worth it, makes me wish I lived in Miami.
Got there early to beat the lines, got in when Seasunz(sp?) was playing. Not too bad, can't really give him an accurate review since the system at Space didnt seem to come on until Edgar's set. I remember hearing at least 6 tracks that Paul had used in politics of dancing 2 and earlier in the year..lol, its all good.
Then Edgar came on and rocked it, it was the first time I had ever heard a crowd chantin for him right before the set. I really can't say anything more other than the fact he should open for pvd rather than jerry bonham whenever paul comes to TX.
After him Paul came on and immediate blew the place apart. The first 2 hours I couldn't recognze anything other than what sounded like a new remix of Kuffdam - Summer Dream. The sound dropped out for a few minutes in the middle of his set, but he handled it pretty well. Overall it was one of the, if not THE BEST PvD set I have ever seen. I think I'll make it a habit to fly out whenever he plays at Space.
As for George Acosta....heh, I wasn't there to see him so I was on my way out after he came on. ALl I could hear was *HONK HONK HONK HONNNNK* and wondering how anyone could get into a set like that..but to each their own.
To all those I got the chance to meet it was a pleasure, look forward to the next time. |

Sucks I couldn't make it out. I did however drive by Space after my thing and I heard "The Other Side" playing. I guess that was near the end of his set? Oh well. No worries because he'll be back here in January '06 :) Glad you all had fun!
For those who are gonna go for round 2 tonight, Cosmic Gate @ Metropolis and the other thingie....see ya there! ;) |

Chalk up another vote for the best PVD set EVER.
His mixing was not only top notch but frequent and with lots of contrast. Some long buildups that were very good IMO. Some slow parts like U2, but most of it was screaming fast with lots of energy.
I had the best night of my life, bar none. First time seeing the man, and he certainly made me a believer.
Space was OK, a little over hyped. However the system was bumpin.
Left @ 6:30, arrived @ midnight so I was tired. Couldn't even sleep when I got home. I still can't beleive what went down during those 4 hours... absolutely incredible. |
