Alright, I've decided that I've spent way too many NYE's partying it up, getting crunked, etc, I thought maybe it'd be a good idea to do something different.
I wanted to gauge the interest of who would be interested in spending the New Years Weekend out in the Pocono's (of course DUH!).
I was looking into a cabin or lodge for maybe 8-12 people, possibly live decks and debauchery as well, just that instead of sleeping in the morning we can simply strap in and hit the mountain up...
That is provided it snow's, provided we have available transportation, and provided that we have enough funds to make this possible. So tell me, if you are interested, let me know.
I'll keep this thread running until after Thanksgiving, updated information will be added to this first post as time progresses. |

Well, I have a house in the Poconos, about an hour away from Camelback or Big Boulder. But, its fit for... (2 couches, 3 beds...) 8, maybe 10 max, if people feel like sleeping on the floor. There is a coal grill, was gas - too lazy to fill it up. There are neighbors, so I dont know how loud we can get. Enough room for 3 cars to park. The place isnt anything fancy, but what do we care, we didnt and dont pay for it. But this is all conditional that Im allowed to use the place or someone isnt already using it.
Oh, and I have no idea how to ski or snowboard. Ive tried snowboarding, woke up the next day completely bruised up. :p |

sounds like a party at vlad's place, but im scared to let the debauchery run wild afterall we are talking TA's now. as for being bruised up, hehe get used to it... |

To keep the debauchery within normal limits, we need to keep ourselves busy through the night. Maybe someone brings video games or board games or card games... it makes it easier to be and stay ed up when your mind isnt thinking about it.
Ahhh card games!! I know you love to play poker... theres the solution to trying to keep everything from going crazy. |

ok maybe vlad's place isn't the best choice because all the crap he's talkin about requires us to be civil (board games?) ok poker is fine but you have to drink when you play. |

No no, you dont get it... yall can smoke and drink all you guys want, Im just saying, if youre drinking and smoking but not doing anything, the night gets boring really quick. Must keep those idle hands busy. :p |

im not sure what type of partying you do but lols...
ask some of the old school TAs that have been to my NYE parties in the city. Enigma/Butterfly/Pyro can vouch for my NYE parties haha
and clearly drinking, smoking, and other fun stuff don't happen in a dull quiet room surrounded by a bunch of people...then again maybe it does happen just in a different group of people.
once the music comes on, the video games, the talking and chatting, the games being played, card games whatever it is. i mean i can chill like that with the tv on mute and music pumping. |

| Hmm Brian seriously, I would be interested but this stuff is always such a hassle I doubt it'll be worth it. Plus I'll only be back in the states on December 21 so I probably will wanna chill on NYE as well... walk around the city, be calm and with family or friends, who knows... btw if you don't want to go out on NYE and don't end up going to the Poconos or a friend's party we could make our own calm NYE gathering alternative, I am certainly down :D |

Dude i would be so down for this. but i went snowboarding in VT last year for NYE. I dunno how I feel about it 2 years in a row (besides I may be doing vegas this year)
regardless I will keep this in mind. |
