This explains why I couldn't find anybody except for Scott and Lea Ann the whole night. I guess I should have called and headed up to VIP. Damn work on a wednesday for keeping me from meeting up earlier!!!:whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip:
And i think its a condition of employment at 1150 to be a head. That or they just want to feel really important because well...their only bouncers. This is why The Mark is better ;) |

Time for my official review.........
Let me first start off and say that I got spoiled this past weekend at club space in miami. Nothing will top it for awhile in my mind, but that might be because I love unknown hard techy tracks. I also couldnt pay much attention since I had to tend to my laser show all night.
Jerry Bohnam opened up really hard at first and then softened it for about an hour. He then built it up very nicely. I was surprised because I walked in thinking "it wont be as good as edgar v" but it was close.
PvD got on using the ping pong effect on ableton (i think) to open up his set up. Some good hard stuff. He played alot of known tracks from TPOD2 including superfly! The crowd didnt really seem to like it, but i did. Its a good housey type track with the right amount of trance. His set in my opinion had too many ups and downs, its just my opinion because I love to hear 3 hours of solid 145bpm madness like at space. Everyone at 1150 loved it though and thats great because it means paul is a good artist and can read the crowd and tell what they like. Paul really loved the feedback he got from the sold out crowd. People chanting PVD and the constant screams and yells. Good job atlanta, pvd normally wants to get off ASAP but he kept playing one encore after another. Its a shame ATL has the 3am closing law or he would have kept going.
Glad yall liked the laser show because it wouldnt have been worth it to me if yall didnt. I put alot of effort into it including not dancing for my favorite dj. But.... I did get my picture with Paul. I will post it when I get it from stillvapor. I have been waiting for that for a very long time and last night the chance came!
Towards the end of the night, some jackass ripped the TPOD2 poster out of the stairwell and I got it back and he ran out the front door. I had to attend to one of my lasers and someone stole it again. Shame on you..... things like that can be bought or even asked for.

| OK, so now that I am sober I would like to put in my 2 cent. It was a nice show. It didn't meet my expectations, though, but still I had a hell of a time. I would like to complain about something. What the is up with people walking around on the ing dance floor. I could not move. Usually I pick a spot and just dance in that ing spot, but on Wednesday I could not even do that. I felt like a pinball. And what the are 18 year olds doing drinking and then trying to dance. That is not dancing, that is just jumping and pushing people out of the way. If you are trying to ing dance then develop an ear for the beat so you can move to it. I wish I had a cell phone to record some of the dancing going on so I can show it to ya'll. Another thing, if you are going to go on the dance floor, then ing dance. Don't be standing around staring at women and expect them to respond, you ing creeps. I guess I am just not used to such a young crowd anymore. And the last thing I want to say is: People, know your place. Geriatrics don't belong in a club. So, those were my two cents. |
