Collared shirts now a MUST at Spirit Saturdays?

Will someone explain to me why a collar suddenly makes a shirt trendy of fashionable? Well at least cool enough to let you into Spirit on Saturday night (not that I'd go for hip-hop and rock anyhow, but...).
What makes my $25 plain Gap polo shirt better than someone's well-designed $100 T-shirt?

i guess they wanna 'try' to clean up their crowd but all they do is bring in dumbasses, just like the guy who made that flyer. :haha:
ryan, oddly enough, i usually see you with COLLARD shirts on @ the clubs. (of course, as the evening goes on, it slowly comes out of the pants and gets unbuttoned. lol) |

That's weird, because I wear T-shirts the majority of the time. I had one on at Sander because we came straight from a benefit event. At Holden I had on a T-shirt. I think I had on a collared shirt at Cox, though. Trance events I usually wear T-shirts, for house events, it's dependant on how I'm feeling that night.
Pretty much every collared shirt that I wear to clubs starts out untucked. It all depends on which shirt it is. I have some that I refuse to tuck in, even at work.
My point was that it's pretty stupid. Collared shirts don't allow for much variety. What's next, only collared shirts with stripes. Then we can all look alike. It'll be just like a normal work day when we go out to have fun. |

I don't blame them... if they didn't enforce a dress code, a bouncer would get shot every other week.

????? How does abiding by a dress code make you less dangerous?
I'm sure that guy that shot Suge Knight at the Shore Club in Miami was probably wearing a collared shirt. Didn't really stop him. If you're going to pay a $25-40 cover, I'm sure that you can afford a dress shirt, you just choose not to. |

well if you cant find a weapon on a person then you arent checking them properly anyway are you?
maybe they should get a security team with EXPERIENCE. spring for metal detectors, or are we too cheap. we can spend $50,000 or more on one DJ playing but it would be a waste to throw a few bucks towards security research & hiring.
call tom ridge im sure he can help out |
