What a PvD night!:whip:

I am so pissed off that i didn't even get to see PvD tonight and I'm still not over at the fact that they stopped letting ppl in after 2am...I mean I was kind of expecting it but I didn't thought it would be that early.
Ok this is what happened...
I got to the city around 12am, did some last min drop-offs. The line was real long on both side of the street, so I thought that shouldn't be a problem for us since we were promoter and could just go through the back door with a comp ticket. So I waited for my head promoter to collect all the money from the other promoters so that wasted about 2hrs. By 2am I got my comp ticket was very excited and was ready to go in. BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... I see a fire truck in front of Roxy and I got a message saying that they weren't letting people in because of over-capacity. Waited for another 1hr, line still not moving. Drove around and got a call from my friend that were still waiting on the line, he told me that if the people that were still on the line don't leave they would get arrested. So no hope in getting in Roxy anytime soon. We got pissed off and decided to go to Avalon because we also promote there and always get in there for free. So why not?
What happened at Avalon?
Well my guestlist didn't work because it was too late, everyone had to pay to get in. The DJ sucked and there were absolutely NO ONE there, the whole place was empty. Stayed there until 5 and thought that maybe we can drop by Roxy again and see if ppl were still trying to get in. Got to Roxy, there were no line and it was closing at 6 so it was no point of even going in there anymore. SO WE HEADED HOME SWEET HOME...
END OF MY STORY
Sorry my fellow TAs that I didn't get a chance to hang out with you guys tonight:confused:. But there's always a next time and i'm very much looking forward to it. :gsmile:
I would also like to apologize for the ones that brought advanced tickets and couldn't get in. Let's hope this will never happen again.
As for me now.. I need to get 2hrs of sleep before I head out to work. HOPE YOU GUYS HAD A WONDERFUL TIME! You all are probably looking like this >>:eyespop: lol jk. Get some good sleep and enjoy the rest of your weekend! |

Oh did i mention the only good part of the night? I got advanced Tiesto tickets, they're goin for $40. I got lots of them, so if you need a ticket, PM me ;) |

| Hey Mamii..... aaaack that's so crazy that YOU didn't even get it... I was SOOO close to heading into the city at about 12:30, would have gotten there just in time to not get in anyways, ugh, I can't believe they'd shaft the promoters like that... ty :( |

Yeah, we couldn't get in either. We must have gotten there anywhere between 12:30 and 1. Bouncers said we should go to the line accross the street and that everyone would eventually get in. So we waited there for about an hour and a half, when someone comes and says that they wouldn't let anyone else in bc of over capacity. I thought that was a bunch of , but everyone stayed there. A few minutes later, they closed the back door and made the front door the only entrance. I think we stayed there until 3:30, we were there for nearly 2.5 hours in the freakin cold waiting to get in. Cops were s towards the end too. in' waste of time...
Anyone know what's gonna happen with refunds? |

I remeber the last time i was at roxy 2003 , same happen to me go there at 12am ( i had no advance ticket tho) and i waited 2hours and finally got in around 3am in the freezing cold, back then it was way more cold then last night. after that experience I always got advance tickets for special events and went early no more BS. and im sure you will get you refund. |

Roxy is hell hole from what I hearing, always another ty story added about that place.
Gabriel and Dresden rocked at Glow in D.C. last weekend....your in for a treat hunnie. |
