wow, what absolute bull. The system hasn't even been released yet and they're already sending it down the ter.
Don't thye understand that games rentals make for a huge part of why people buy games?? It's the same with borrowing from friends!... you borrow... you like it... you buy it!

LOL i totally agree with what you're saying. I wouldn't be surprised at all if this was all some MS ploy (and how convenient that it's being talked about not long before the PS3 comes out!). I doubt Sony, after all the they've already caused, would go with this idea. Big loss of money there if they did. |

It'll never fly
Somebody, somewhere, will (rightly) file a lawsuit based on some dervitive of the "fair use" doctrine, that led to decisions like the "Betamax case". No way that Sony would be able to justify it. |

Might indicate that they won't be doing the same with the PS3. I will be buying it regardless.
I'm stoopid and I only buy originals...I've always been too nervous to MOD chip my PS2 because it was my only DVD player (well--until last December; I've got a standalone player now so I could probably chip it) but the thing is I don't have time to give the PS2 the attention it deserves!!! So I can't be bothered spending the extra time and money finding/downloading/burning games. |

I don't buy pirated games cause I'd prefer having originals.
And even if Sony did go along with this for the PS3, which I doubt, I'd still take it over an Xbox 1.5 ANY DAY OF THE WEEK. |
