If you were referring to no. 1 i meant no Australian DJ will earn or be sought after as much as Ferry, Tiesto, Armin. An Australian Trance DJ could probably reach GTR, Jon o' Bir proportions if they're a kick ass producer though :) |

The current "superstar" DJs started playing when electronica was still underground, when not every man, boy, and his dog wanted to be DJs. Now dance music has almost integrated into poppular culture there are exponentially more people going to dance clubs on any given friday than you would get in an entire month a decade ago, and the supply of DJs far outstrips the demand for up and coming and established DJs. It means that talent alone will not get you to the top, in fact i can name a handfull of australian trance DJs that are more talented than half of the internationals that come to our shores - but they aren't riding on their reputations of yesteryear nor do they play on commercial radio stations to tens of thousands of listeners accross multiple countries and the internet
jules why you delete your post? i had to google who Kaz James :p |

| Very valid points Tathi. But even the brightest of stars can still be seen shining from another continent. In AU we always have our wonderkids and they go far. Who the new round of them are in today's scene its hard to tell but they'll be there some day. |

| ^^ of course, look at the melbourne breaks crew like Luke Chable and Phil K who are being backed by Dave Seaman and Sasha. And there's Infusion etc. Also from memory Bexta recently went on a tour in Europe - so much talent there :stongue: :stongue: |

you hear the one jules where mariah carey left kaz a note asking him to come back to her room but he declined... cos he was with one of the versaces. omg his exploits are folklore. shame about his music. |
