I got the old Final Scratch (1.5 I think)and it runs pretty well from my computer. Feels exactly like a vinyl other than maybe 1/1000th of a second delay that you won't even notice unless you really pay attention. It will save you tons of money as well. Only problem is that you cant connect more than 2 turntables/cdj's up to it (well for mine you can't... maybe FS 2 you can...). I highly recommend it but try finding a used one around your area for cheap.

From what I've seen and heard it seems to be a wise investment, I'm considering buying it soon.

Not sure if you've already seen it or not, but here's the video on the Stanton site, might give you an insight into it.

I have 2.0. its awesome. I use it with traktor 2.6, which is great..

My Laptop Specs

Toshiba M200
1.6 Ghz
512 RAM
40 Gig HD

Works really well for me when my computer is all cleaned out.. when i start installing to much and my computer gets too cramped, then gets hectic.

cleaned meaning just the OS, the required drivers/devices/etc & traktor running ?

Using FS2.0 for 6/7 months now, and it's still running smoothly on a Sony Vaio. (2 Ghz / 512 / 40 gig) Used as a dedicated laptop.

Yesterday i played with my other Vaio (3Ghz / 512 / 60 Gig) with all other sort of programms on it, and still running smooth.

Note that IF you use a WinXP machine you allways have to carry your powersupply with you from your scratchamp. 4 to 6 pins does not supply power to your scratchamp.

Another "need to know" for XP machines : Make a different hardware profile in XP, and a matching userprofile. Disable all services you don't need, all programms you don't need and it all will run fine ;)

If you need to know more, just ask.

Final Scratch is good for home use, but when it's used in a club you can hear a little bit of feedback for some reason. I'm not entirely sure why and it may be fixed in a later model but everytime I hear it there is a subtle buzzing that ruins the music for me at least.
Just a note.

Never heard complaints about it?
You allways have to be sure you use good cables and take a groundloop
isolator with you.

What is a Groundloop Isolator?

The most likely cause of humming in audio equipment is due to a ground loop in your home or apartment mains power wiring. A ground loop occurs through differences in resistance in the electrical system. When you connect your computer to your stereo, a path is provided for electricity to flow from one wall socket to another as the electrical system tries to balance itself. This causes your speakers to hum / hizz.

I plugged in my mixer (PCV-275) at my dad's stereo and the humming was very noticeable. I use CDJs btw, if that matters. Then I plugged in my friend's DJM600 and it was fine. No idea why, but that seemed to work. Would this have gotten rid of the humming on my mixer too?
