| If you could, how long do you think you would mix for? Does anyone think they can mix for 9 hours straight? (I just read about Armin doing this and I wonder if anyone else on this forum can or has) |

Tiesto has mixed for about 9 hours as well.
I don't think I could last 9 hours unless I had a large amount of caffine. Also what happens if you gotta take a piss? |

| Longest I've gone is like 3 hours...lol. The problem while doing such a long mix isnt really a stamina question, its more, can you maintain direction in the mix and not up. |

| iv gone for 3+, its fun, a rush to have a group of ppl under ur conrol (sorta, u hafta be good) for extended amount of time. Longest set i have ever heard of was the man Danny Tenaglia for 18hrs. He has said it in a BBC Radio 1 interview if anyone wants to see if i'm lying haha. Thats the beauty of house, some songs are so long, you can put a record on, eat a meal, take a , maybe even get a wipe or two, then get back in time to mix out. |

Lately I've been playing kind of a lot of 3 and a half to 4 hour sets out live, and while it was slightly nerve wracking the first time, it's been a ton of fun.
Sets that long, at least for me, allow me to play around with a really wide variety of genres and tend to be totally different each time I play them. And I also tend to find it easier to work my way around, like I'm not in a hurry to do anything or get anywhere in the sets, and I think they just flow a little bit more naturally for me. But I'm not going to lie, when I'm pushing a bit past the 4 hour mark, I start running out of juice... :o
As far as the real pros go, I don't know the names, but I thought there were documented accounts of somewhat bigger names in the scene play exceptionally long sets (like 20+ hours or something?), I could be wrong, very wrong, but I thought I'd seen that somewhere... |

| Could probably go for like 12 hours, but not improvised. It would just take alot of planning. |

| I went four hours once. It felt like a long-ass time. It was fun, but I don't think I could do more than five without planning a bunch of it, because there's a certain point I hit where I was like, "Meh, lets just go back and forth between the tracks on these CDs." |
