I find that stuff like this happens when you are new to a job and are really focused on it and afraid of screwing up.
From my experience though, the stress wears off once you settle into the job and familiarize yourself better with the tasks. You will become more comfortable and require less exertion.. and it'll become easier to think about other things and relax again :) |
She hit the nail RIGHT on the head.
When I started as a submanager for an Athletic Retail Chain, This was my sleep pattern for a solid month before actually settling into it. I'd wake up in the middle of the night, I'd be looking for ASN and Shipping reports, And all kinds of (funny now, but really REALLY strange stuff when it was occuring) stuff.
This'll pass. Recognize for yourself that you're doing well at your new position and your mind will follow suit and relieve the stress on itself. |

I used to dream of work when I was working in Muskoka at a resort. I'd wake up in the middle of the night thinking "Crap, little Billy didn't get his OJ" and stuff like that.
Working too much corrupts you ;) |

| I think as soon as you fall into a routine, it'll pass. When you get home, just lie back and breathe, relax, and let your ass grow. Try to also have a regular sleeping pattern, going to bed, and waking up at around the same time every day. That helps. |

| I had to laugh at this: "So while doing this while sitting up in my bed, I look on my bed for an invoice lol". Work makes people crazy! I think it's like the other's have said so far in response to the dreaming. It's just a new job and you are probably so concentrated and focused on getting it right that your mind isn't having the chance to unwind and forget about work. The mind tends to focus on things that are really new or major in someone's life, then you dream about it. I guess it's your subconscious' way of working out the stress in a productive way. |

| Definitely stress. I can't sleep when I know there's a tonne of things I need to be doing for school, or just errands to run. Half the time I end up getting out of bed at like 4 am just to write a list of them. Then I can sleep! |
