To be fair, these people didn't say no :p

If that's your answer, then I would offer this compromise. There is now no testing on handicapped people. However, handicapped people no longer receive funding from the federal government; they have to fend for themselves or die. What do you think of that?

I am all for it. These people have contributed absolutely nothing to society, while at the same time draining taxpayers dollars to go through publicly-funded trials and live in prison, not to mention the heinous crimes many of them have committed. If they're going to spend their lives in jail then they might as well be of some use to the public.

this thread has to do with...

testing on children who have been neglected or abused

Children who "cannot be reasonably consulted," such as those that are mentally handicapped or orphaned newborns

Chemical studies on any children outside of the U.S.

not people in prison.

I posted about it happening on people in prisons and you quoted me and asked me if that made it right .. which I think it does.

Well we dont also know if they are being told about the testing... :D that could go on forever...

Handicapped... well not so sure, did they have the right to consent to testing? I think its a different situation all together.

1 step away from concentration camps IMO.. if you choose to do it thats one thing.. being handicapped and not being able to choose thats different

Im going beyond the testing now.

Let's say that you ban testing on all handicapped and orphaned children. No more unconsented tests, period.

However, you also cut all tax based funding for handicapped people. No more federal, state, local tax dollars will go to improve the quality of life for handicapped people. No more tax funds will be used to sustain handicapped people of any kind. They become like all other citizens: they must make their own way, and they must pay tax on anything they earn, minus applicable tax breaks. Would you go for that?

all im saying is that this can target a person that govt. or private testing could be conducted on without consent. i dont agree with that... i dont see how funding would change my mind.

If you dont believe testing should be given without consent, do you believe that the tax money of people who work should be given to people who don't or can't work?

It's not that hard to go a bit off topic, you just haven't been in the Core long enough. The funding isnt for the companies, it's for handicapped people. For instance, federal tax dollars help keep several homes for handicapped people open and keep employees on the payroll.

It's a compromise. I'll allow that a ban should be in place for testing on handicapped individuals if you allow that they shouldn't receive tax money.

well... i am thinking more along the lines of the people who are not so called “handicapped” but that have been neglected or orphaned. I know they also live in places that are funded by our fed tax $$$. Just because they are in that situation should not mean that we can use them as federal test kids without consent.

But do you think they deserve tax dollars as their means of living?
