I wondered when the first person was going to ask that.
1. It gives back to the winners of the contest.
2. Pays for admin time
3. Pays for the Trophy that were getting
4. Makes sure that your serious about playing and not just entering for just fun
5. We feel that runing this event, costs a lot of money and helps give back to eveyone. This is not to make any income.

Not sure who you're trying to fool here man. How the hell does an entry fee ensure that the entries are "for real" and not just for fun? Playing at a club should be fun, and you should never have to pay to play at a bar.
Running event does cost a lot of money... welcome to promoting. The flip side of that coin is that events make money if the promoting is done properly. Didn't make any money off of your first round of competitions, maybe you should look at the promoting?
Pays for the trophy? Give me a break, this is so rediculous man.
Pays for admin. time? ummm, why should the dj's incur that cost? are they going to be sharing in the return that this night generates? I didn't think so.
Basically, this post shows that you're trying to run a night that pays for itself, and you're hoping you can find enough dj's that will be willing to pay to play. |

you should be paying the djs at least $20 for their records, transportation, not to mention time & effort.
this is like a cold slap to the face of making the djs pay. |

Like when someone gets the answer right and you say Bingo. Well if you noticed Wyndham said BINGO in his post and i agreed with him, and everyone elses post, so BINGO. Then there were these lottery ticket commercials and they said "happiness is yelling bingo" thats where im taking it from, not sure how you missed that one.
