So cold and calculating.
I quite liked the soundwave toys. A friend of mine had him, and it was always cool to play with the tapes that turned into the dog and bird. They always seemed so fragile though.
I don't know who my favourite decepticon was though. Come to think of it, I never had a favourite Autobot. Must've loved them all equally :p |

Soundwave's dog was actually a panther, Ravage.
And Soundwave had 2 birds, Laserbeak and Buzzsaw. Laserbeak was the one in the TV show, and Buzzsaw was the one that came with Soundwave.
My fav. autobot was defintely Optimus Prime. Decepticon, I'm not sure. Probably Megatron or Starscream or even Shockwave. |

That's them. They really were fragile, but so much fun to play with. They folded away into the cassette shape so well too.
There never was a toy for the equivalent autobot that had the tape player thingo though, was there? |

Oh defintely. Blaster. He had 2 robots named Eject and Rewind, a rhino named Ramhorn, and a cat like cassette named Steeljaw.

For some reason that toy looks really familiar, although I don't remember anybody having it.
I don't remember him having a rhino either. I recall he was basically equivalent to soundwave in terms of his cassette's, but that rhino one is news to me.
It would've been funny if they called him Soundblaster. Then in like the next gen of it, they could've named him Soundblaster 128, and then SBLive, and so on :p |

Coolest transformers video EVER.. Chadly84 was shown this in his animation class and he showed me a while ago... this thread made me remember it even existed!! its SO sweet.. make sure your speakers are on!

wow, you guys are hardcore... I don't remember a lot of the transformer names anymore. I used to watch the show everyday when I was 4-7, then when we moved to Canada, and i totally missed out, cuz I didn't understand english at the time, and thus stopped watching :(
I happened to catch an episode of the new transformers this past saturday during my lunch break from work. It totally sucked ass, there were no humans involved, its just transformers living on their own planet, etc.
I'm seriously considering buying or renting the Transformers Original dvd set and catching up this xmas break.... |
