wow, you guys are hardcore... I don't remember a lot of the transformer names anymore. I used to watch the show everyday when I was 4-7, then when we moved to Canada, and i totally missed out, cuz I didn't understand english at the time, and thus stopped watching :(
I happened to catch an episode of the new transformers this past saturday during my lunch break from work. It totally sucked ass, there were no humans involved, its just transformers living on their own planet, etc.
I'm seriously considering buying or renting the Transformers Original dvd set and catching up this xmas break.... |
Yeah man. The toys as well as the cartoons from the good old 80's were so good. Still VERY sentimental to me in this day and age. GEN2 was as good as it would get. Beast Wars and everything beyond that don't appeal to me. I was thinking about trying to get those episode DVDs as well. I still can't believe I missed the VERY last episode of the old show, The Rebirth, where the targetmasters and headmasters debuted, as well as Fortress Maximus and Scorponok. I caught that episode just a year or two ago, downloaded. My fav. episode of all time is defintely The Return of Optimus Prime. I was so happy he came back to life. |

Hmmm... I think my knowledge of the "seasons" of transformers, as such, is rather blurred. I know it took them a while, but I remember Fortress Maximus being around quite a bit. My friend actually had the Fortress Maximus toy, although it didn't help that he was scaled differently to the majority of the transformers.
I just remembered my first transformers toy as well. I don't remember buying it (or getting it), but I remember having one of the deceptikon stunt cars. The deep purple/brown one to be exact. I forget it's name, but I used to love that car, and it was an nice extra that it could transform, along with the rest of my hot wheels styled cars. |

I think the toys for Fortress Maximus and Scorponok were out for a bit yeah, but that episode was defintely their first and only appearance on the show.
As for the purple and brown Stunticon, that was Dead End.

:stongue: I can't believe you found my deceptikon! When I get back to Aus, I'm so gonna bust 'em all out and play with them again.
I thought Maximus and Scorponok were in more than just 1 ep? That's rather crappy if that's the case, and also rather fortuitous that I seemed to have seen that episode so I actually know who you're talking about. |
