HI guys, :)
I just thought it was about time that we had a DJ chilllout thread here...
I've already noticed that the people here aren't as harsh as many of the other sub-forums in TA, and i've noticed that a lot of casual banter is going on in a lot of the other threads, so i thought it might be a great idea for all of us to get to know one another a little more, and just trade casual banter (preferably relating to DJing in particular).
Maybe it'd be a great place to tell everyone a little abour urself, and (if) where you play out, and what equipment you use. A few photos, would be great.
Who knows, maybe a few friendships could be made here, and u could be off, to Dj in another country, to swap locations with another DJ? ;)

| It would be cool to have a bull sticky thread wherre DJs could just talk about random ...mostly pertaining to mixing...but yeah...something a little free... :D |

hahaha.... good for you. Phrase matching for me was really easy, when compared to getting the hang of beatmatching.
Well i guess i'll just have to start off then...
I'm a uni bum in Queensland, Australia, and my holidays have just started... well not really... long story... I still have to sort some formalities out.
but yah, my next nearest gig is in February. One of the chicks in my course wants me to play in her birthday party, which she's spending heaps on. It'll be in some big resteraunt on the top of a mountain. Right now, i'm not taking my DJing very seriosuly, but i wanna get really good at it, before i graduate. When i graduate, and get some cash, i'm gonna buy some nice gear, and start getting really competitive, and out there in the world. Oh yah, and i'll do some production.
I'm still not sure what i'm planning for the holidays, i'll have to think things through. I really wanna get started on learning a language...
does anyone know any websites that can teach the basics of any language out there? |

maybe i sort of wrote it down wrong to give a bad impression...
u think i'll bum out of the whole production thing, and just be a bum DJ? U know, i'm not even thinking about production at this stage, until i have reasonable income. but definately, i wanna be able to make some nice ch00ns of my own. I know it's freaking hard. |

It seems like a plan, like, "once im a good dj, then ill make my own tunes!"
Has nothing to do with me thinking youd "bum out of the whole production thing". |

nah it's nothing to do with the whole "once i'm a good DJ"...
i just htink production is a whole new level of commitment, that i'm not prepared for until i graduate. |

We already have the COR for that, let's keep the other sections bull-free. |
