Awesome night Friday, great TA support as per usual, but what surprised me was how many people just came out of the woodwork that I've never seen before to... to Tim's point, alot of them were the typical Tiesto groupies that didn't really know of anyone else but the place was still going nuts so that's all that really mattered to me... I'm pretty used to the Tiesto requests myself.. I usually say, "I already played him man you missed it!" and go back to cuing up the next track... works like a charm.
By the end of the night I was so drunk I could barely stand, I had the presence of mind to bail out of an afterparty which was likely for the best.... my head thanked me for it the next morning! Thanks to everyone who partook in getting me absolutely juiced... good times!
What was even better was that people got even drunker than I was (ie Carl and Aaron) which added to the entertainment.
Always great playing with my boy Tygon... we always seem to feed off each other and it makes for a great night... glad I decided on that setup for the birthday celebration it couldn't have worked out any better... cheers :)

This one chick asked me to play Tiesto and when I told her "no, I don't have any", she rolled her eyes at me like "what kind of a DJ doesn't have any Tiesto...?" ARRRRRRRRG!!! Literally, I was asked 6 times last night for ing Tiesto.... They don't even know the names of the tracks they wanna hear... just "Tiesto" lol |
's sakes - Is there some sorta commune goin' around? It's always in' Tiesto they ask for! I got asked the previous week at the P-Room as well.
And "the look on her face" comment is so true on many levels. What gets me is when you say you don't have the requested record and they come back with "Are you sure?" Like by asking that, the record's gonna magically appear in my collection...Duh, I'm pretty f'in sure...:P
My all-time fave was this guy who'd come into the P-Room early every Friday when Fresh was starting out. He loved jungle and d'n'b. Coincidentally, I think it was Tim who was spinning when he asked me, "Hey man, is it jungle night tonight?" And I was like, "Ummm...are you deaf?!..." :D |

as a matter of fact, I struck up a conversation with him in the smoking area...all you ladies can relax - he's married, haha...showed me a picture of his cute baby daughter...I asked him why his wife doesn't come with him..he just shrugged and said, "Ah, she no like." :) |
