I only listen to Tiesto when I'm working out, so I guess I'm saved from DJ worship :rolleyes:
Wow, Ishkur's even on this site. Awesome comic strip!
For those who don't know him, Ishkur has been a solid "rave" critic for years in the Pacific Northwest. He's kind of like the Southpark of the electronic music scene. He's offensive to many, funny to those who get it, and often has messages with a point in his content.

From looking at this board, I don't think Trance will die in a looooooong time. Besides, there's plenty of worse genres Ishkur enjoys ripping on.

i thought it was funny, but:
i disagree with the whole "give ur back to the DJ" and "dont go for the DJ, go for the party" thing...
giving the DJ credit isnt really a bad thing, the problem is giving them credit for the wrong reasons (e.g Tiesto)...DJs should be given credit for their talent, and not for playing twice a year in huge concerts, or recieving the largest amount of votes in a popularity test...when a DJ plays 2 different acapellas over his own edit of monster track ill def give him a thumbs up...nothing wrong with that
another thing is alot of us EDM fans are in it for the music and not the scene...when ishkur says "dont go for the DJ, go for the party" he is more conserned about the scene than the music...fact is that some DJs mix/build a set/play better music than others. we enjoy only the better DJs, and a good set is the biggest ingredient for having a good time for us...nothing wrong with that either |

Maybe Ishkur should chill making these long storyboards and start having fun.
I work 5days a week so then the weekend arrives I don't want to be writing storyboards and moaning about how the scene is changing, I party. |

Yeah, maybe other comic strip artists and book writers for that matter should stop writing and go out and party too! Wooooo! :rolleyes:

I work 5 days a week as a stripper so when my weekend arrives I don't want to go out and deal with any more drunks. I want to sit down and read something funny and critical. ;)

but he's not dude -- i used to think the same thing, but it's evident from his posts on this site that he takes himself far too seriously (which for me, detracts from whatever humor he brings to the table). |

This comic is pretty true. Your every day trance addict telling people what to do and who to listen to and that they suck for liking who they like (Tiesto in this case).
If you like trance then you are going to like trance dj's. Why the hell is this so hard for people to comprehend? |
