I actually read through all of that.
I agree in principle with you, that todays superstar DJ's are more about themselves than they are about the music and that the shows they play at have become exactly that "shows" rather than parties where everyone is simply enjoying themselves listening to the music.
You lose me however with the constant implication THAT EVERY TRANCE DJ AND TRANCE SHOW IS THIS WAY. I love trance more than any other type of EDM. And it kills me to see an entire genera of music run down simply because it kills you to allow other people to enjoy Delerium - Silence (or whichever track you single out as being overplay or generically produced this week) |
