Alrights.
So I get to Space at around 12.. Im standing outside and I can hear Edgar Spinning this old goodies. I was melting. Right when I was about to get in, I hear the one trance remix of Enjoy The Silence from 99 !.. I ran to the dancefloor and died. My mind is blank, but I can say that I heard songs that are on Oakey's 99 sets, and Tiesto's ISOS 1 and 2.. cant recall which ones :-(. Then I hear BT's - FLAMING JUNE!! Focking aaaaaahh!!.. Grace - Its Not Over Yet, goosebumps when I heard this!.. then Sasha's - Xpander, among other oldies. THen GA takes Over, was easily seen with the Harder sound, but Man oh man did he throw classics.
From the top of my head, Push - Universal Nation, System F - Out of the blue , Solar Stones - Seven Cities, Takin Over Space, Mauro Picottos Iguana and Lizard ( I think ).. Ayla - Ayla << Beautyful!!!.. Mirror - Stray Dog ( Signum remix )He's whole set was what GA was known to be good with. The hard trance freaks will be able to name those harder songs.
Talla.. what can I say, GrEAT!!. Lots of Dumonde Tracks and remixes where heard this night, the Binary Finary - 2000 ( dumonde remix ), Paul van dyk's Another Way, Agnelli & Nelson - Everyday Everytime, Olive your not alone, some Adagio for Strings Remix, and some today trance tunes. I left at around 5:15 .. I could have stayed more but I had to go out @ 7 AM and help a friend. Edgars mixing was the best last night in my opinion.
Good to have seen XLT( Long Time man! Hope to see u soon! )Ben, Damon, Melly, nfekted and Co., Eric, Arturo and friend, Fred, and Jasin. Everyone was missed!
True trance classic night, Great Shadow Lounge reunion Overall. That Chick doing the lights had energy!!!.. even though it was 18+, the vibe was very special.
We need more nights like this. !!
And Oh.. It was cool to see GA, TALLA, And Edgar hanging in the Booth together. Tried to Take a pic of the three of them but Im seen it didnt come out :( . Were they doing Back 2 back?. |

my review: not the best cuz its my first lol but anyways
i got there real early at 10 30 cuz i wasnt gonna be able to stay there till the after hours...edgar v played a very calm set and started to turn it up around 11 30
then george acosta came on and just tore the place apart...played a real hard set (in my mind) so intense and energetic it was unbelievable
then talla came on and didnt slow down at all...he played a great remix of one of my favorite songs of open your eyes by nalin and kane that made my night
left at 4 30 and had a fun ass night
i dont know any TA's so if u guys were there i hope u had as much fun as i did |

Edgar V did a great job opening. He was playing more mellow tracks but his track selection was impecable. He played Enjoy the Silence which I had never heard live so it was great. Hands down the best track he played was a song that I am not familiar with the name, but it repeated "ARE YOU READY ARE YOU READY", and broke down into a dub beat. The song builded up and started going crazy and then they hit us with the nitrogen blast:eyespop: :eyespop: All in all Edgar spun well but I would have liked to hear him spin something harder.
George Acosta what can I say? I was very impressed with his selection of classics. He spun a lot of the old time goodies and it really took me back. The crowd was loving him and it looked like a madhouse in Space. System F - Out of the Blue, Push - Universal Nation, Sasha - Expander, Yakooza - Cocaine, what more need I say. I didnt catch the whole entire set because my friend had to work at 7 Am so we left at 3 but from what I saw it was great.
I cant review on Talla because I didnt get to see him :( :( |

i left work around 12:30 and got home, ate something real quick and jetted over to space... i missed edgar's set again :(
but GA holy crap that is the Acosta i knew he was gonna be!
he had everyone loving him that night with all the classics! it was great to see so many people love the classics and just "die" each time a classic they loved was played :D
leo - dude omg! that was the loudest i ever heard space, i thought i was gonna go deaf :toothless
talla came on and he started good but i didnt like some of the songs he played, imo.
it was awesome though at the end when they played back-to-back-to-back! i dont think i ever saw edgar have so much fun in the dj booth, he looked like a little kid everytime he would pull down for the horn!

hehe great night indeed, i wish i didn't feel so freaking tired coming off of work at 8:00 and I should've ate something before getting there cause i ended up leaving around 4:00(had to eat something was feeling sick!)
Edgar V started up playing housey stuff ,then moved on to some breaky beats, and then finally trance. his set was okay not the best by any means.
nevertheless I can never get enough of Edgar.
I didn't get to see talla which is a shame cuz i've never seen him live but Acosta threw down a memorable set! He played classic after classic....Out of the Blue, French Kiss(not sure), taking over space(absolutely tore the place up!!), Ivasion over Berlin!!!. Wow man awesome! We definitely need more of this!!! One things for sure....it's magical to hear these songs being played so loud at the club cuz these are the songs that brought some of us into edm. Awesome.
Great seeing Damon(early bird just like me and Pvd-ism:)), Arturo, Liquid and friend, i think i saw Mellymel but wasn't sure lol. |

Talk about taking a trip back down memory lane......wow! Classic tunes all night long!!! Everyone was loving every second of it! Edgar, Acosta, and Talla rocked it; hands down, no question about it! They had be dancing up a storm all night :wtf: Good seeing all of you who were there. Till the next reunion.....
They should do this once a year, same time every year. ;) |
