first off all... YOU to the truck drivers on the highways that still drive 120 and pass you when you cant even see 10 feet infront of you, the roads are iced and and every car is doing 60-70
i really hope EVERYONE got home alright...total madness on the highway...just got worse as kitchener got closer :(

annnnd now to my review...kinda...more less feedback from the night :)
i think everything went alright :) great set by Marcel, great sets by Tygon, Chiclet and Key, and the TA turnout...man lol just keeps getting bigger and bigger :)
got some sick news for new years to be posted shortly...im sure the majority of you will be pleased :) so stay tuned :D |

A rather interesting car ride on the way there(you guys got wasted pretty good). But driving in the snow on the way back wasn't fun, especially with my windshield washer fluid running out.
But beyond that, Freakin awesome night!!
Great to re-meet everyone!! Too bad I still dont remember many of your TA names. :(
Hard Trance all night! Wooohooo!! but I wouldnt have minded some uplifting trance later on in the night (when most people were becoming tired). Either way, I was still going crazy with my glowsticks (whether I was any good or not) front & center the entire night.

It was a last minute decision to go and I'm so glad I did. It was hard beats from start to finish....MArcel kicked my ass into high gear. He was really enjoying himself.
I know I said I wasn't going to go because I had the pager for work but with the week I had......so I packed up all my and headed out. Surprised a couple of people by my presence.
Thanks MAx for hooking me up with a ticket....much nicer then paying full cover.
Fahad....you are a dancing machine....I don't know where you get all that energy
Tyler.....you were going insane boy.....I think your new home is the DJ Booth.
Musik_Fiend....nice to finally meet you...girl you were a dancing machine out there.....could so tell you were having a great time.

Good music, both at the pre-party and viva. Looked like Marcel was really into his set.
Probably one of the largest TA turnouts I've seen at Viva.
Too bad I couldn't hit the dancefloor...next time.

Review:
Headed over to Tylers early on in the evening, cramming as much audio equipment into my Honda as i could muster. Set up shop and started warming up the crowd [all 3 of them lol!]. At around 8-8:30 people started piling in and the booze started flowing and it looked like everyone was starting to get into the party spirit. Great to meet some TA’s that I havent met before. Jem and Spaniard...CLASSIC emergency beer mission! Lol making it to the beer store with 3 minutes to spare, haha good times! [BTW WHOEVER STOLE MY 12 PACK OWES ME SOME MAJOR DRINKAGE!!:whip: :whip: :whip:]
Everyone seemed to be in a great mood, and some rather...intoxicated ;). At about 11ish everyone started to meander over to viva leaving quite a blast zone in tylers place! So we packed up and cleaned up and went to pick up Sean and have a great meal courtesy Tamiko’s leftovers :P .
Headed over to viva at around 1ish. So glad that we picked up the advanced tix from aaron because door prices were INSANE...I don’t think I paid that much at viva even at the last destiny new years party :eek: . Got in while Tim was playing and haha wow was he rockin out behind the decks. :crazy:
Then Marcel. Wow. no.no....WOW....
From the minute that he stepped behind the decks you could feel his presence. This was clearly a man who has played in front of tens of thousands and knows what the people want. HUGE, HARD tunes. Absolutely OUTSTANDING track selection. Kept my ass rocking a lot longer and harder than I usually am able to!! I think I outdanced the dancing queen :p And when I am pumping up Fay...you know something’s up!
And Mark Oliver continued in wicked fashion. I couldn’t stay unfortunately cuz I had to work but when you hear Dark Side of the Moon followed by Stormy Clouds...then oooh the party is still goin on!!

Ok since we have combined both gatherings in 1 topic, I will post on Tyler's awesome, wicked, insane yet very chilling pre-party. Before I start, I just want to say it again, but Tyler is a true stand up gentleman for making all this happen last night! More good times to come Brother and you ain't gettin' away with the MGD's you allowed me to drink last night :p.
Arrived around 6:30ish-7 to hear Endgame getting everyone in the mood with some prog/uplifting trance. Drew, the beer mission was too cool man, but the details should be restricted to the peeps in your vechs;). Saw Fahad chilling inside (man, you thought I would burn you 1 song:toothless ) and as you all know chilling with this man is never bad times.
As the night progressed and more of you started coming, it just seemed to get better and better and better. Met many TA's... I don't know where to start but to all of you that I did meet, it was a big pleasure and I definetly enjoyed every minute of it. By the time Aaron came on, everyone in that place was rocking on tyler's unofficial dancefloor.
Whoever missed out on this, MISSED OUT!:wtf:
P.S.: Paula, great appreciation for not allowing any more people to know about the 34/34 LOL. :o |
