Dumonde doesn't have those long-ass buildups common to regular Trance. They spin more of an energetic Trance, with a lot shorter build, and a lot sicker basslines.
Plus, if you get tired of 'waving your hands in the air', you can always check out the Jungle and Techno rooms next door.
And frankly, all 3 of those are better than House by miles. |

Pffffffft.
The onl type of Techno that I like is the style that Cox spins. All the rest is just waaay too damn repetitive.
And I'm getting sick of euphoric or slow or Progressve or whatevertheyouwannacallit Trance already. Thankfully, there's still tons of Hard Trance out there. |

Except that there is no techno room. There's a breaks room, but I have a feeling that there aren't going to be a lot of breakers at that party.
Incidentally, I hope you realize that the Beat Freakers are going to play a substantial amount of house. So unless you plan on leaving right after DuMonde, be prepared to deal with some not-trance music.
Personally, I'm planning to be somewhere other than a dingy sketchy crowded club for NYE, but if I do end up at one, it's probably either going to be System for Danny Howells or Boa for Chus & Ceballos. Both are fine choices. Montreal... eh. Steve Lawler I could do without, Danny Howells is here anyway. Deep Dish will be sick in Montreal but I'd rather have C&C. |
