Incidentally, I hope you realize that the Beat Freakers are going to play a substantial amount of house. So unless you plan on leaving right after DuMonde, be prepared to deal with some not-trance music.

As far as I see, I have Dumonde, Jelo, Deko-Ze, NuEra, and others to choose from. And if I get sick of those there's always Dillinja and Jungle in general. I think I'll manage.

Jelo and Deko-ze both play house, and the others aren't on at the same time as the Beat Freakers (who are actually really good by the way, you've gotta keep a more open mind).

The jungle lineup is sick except for the fact that they have Caddy Cad MCing. Why does he keep getting booked...

Jelo can play either Techno or House - I've seen him do both. So it won't be pure House, which is fine by me. I know what you're saying about keeping an open mind, but over all the hype that's surrounding Lawler and the like, from what I've heard from him, it's all very 'meh' to me. I'll nod my head and such, but not much more. Try to understand, I'm not limiting myself to just Trance - I've grown to love Trance as well as Techno and DNB. I'm allowed to dislike one genre of EDM, right?

And don't even get me started on MCs. Why these idiots are still around totally baffles me. Everyone find them annoying. Jungle is 1000 times better when that stupid MC finally shuts the up and lets the DJ do his thing in peace. This is the #1 reason why I love all the DNB and Jungle CD compilations, but everytime I go see a Jungle DJ or producer perform, I'm left with sour feeling after their set.

Hey, I said right off the bat that Lawler is nothing to write home about. He's got an inexplicably huge fan base in the house world that worships the ground he walks on, just like Tiesto does in the trance world; of course he does a better mixing job than Tiesto but his programming always bores me to tears. I've been to 3 Lawler parties and each one was worse than the last - hot and overcrowded with dull, lifeless drum tracks sprinkled with cliché electro sounds.

When I say keep an open mind I don't mean Lawler. The Beat Freakers tend to play much more uptempo, funky house music along with a little bit of breaks. At least that's what you can usually expect from them. Lawler is just on the fringe of what can legitimately be called house music, since house music is the spawn of disco, funk, and soul, and the monotonous electro-proggish stuff he spins shares nothing in common with those genres. Basically, it's called "house" music because it's electronic and it's the same tempo as house music. Don't judge house music based on *his* music!

Thanks for clearing it up, I will now say " Lawler" instead of " House".

P.S. What are good non-boring House DJs?

Lawler is the man when he spins dark tribal stuff...it does suck that he has distanced himself from that.
